Sky Palace Beach hotel

This was supposed to be my first trip to kovalam. And granted, it is a beautiful place. The beach was amazing, the food was expensive and yet delicious. It was good. The pictures I saw when booking this hotel were nice, the amenities said that they had an A/C in their rooms. And for the low low price of 900 a night? I was obviously enchanted. Imagine my surprise when there was no A/C, no room service, a toilet that was broken, and a hotel that was not on the Beachfront. Yeah, it was disheartening at first. But luckily i spent all my time away from the hotel so I didn't have to live in it, just slept in it and that's it. The room was decent enough to sleep. Nothing fancy, the bed was comfortable, the room was properly ventilated. The bare minimum basically. There isn't anything great for this place to offer, it's just if you want a cheap place to stay while travelling solo. That's it. Oh yeah, extra towels are chargeable to your bill. No clue why. Also bring your own toothpaste, they don't provide that.

Skypalace beach resort is one of the best resort around kovalam area. I visited this place a couple of times and I enjoy each and every time I stayed there. Hridayadasana was gem of a person , his hospitality was mind-blowing. He took care of us very well!!! Nice and thank you brother!!! I will look forward to stay in the same place again and again I visit kovalam beach...

Rooms were not well cleaned. Yes for the bathroom, but the room itself had a lot of dust on walls, curtains, windows behind the table; spider web. What a shame. Service was good with friendly staff.

Very neat and clean. Services are good. Very spacious rooms. The beach is very near the hotel.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel very much. Although it's not directly on the seafront, it's actually an advantage as it's much quieter. The rooms are basic, clean and comfortable. The balcony in front of the rooms is swept clean every day. There's a line where you can hung your wet clothes when you come back from the beach (situated less than a minute walk from the hotel). There is a lovely smell in the evenings because of the incense sticks. We had a nice coffee every morning, made by Wilfred. We purchased additional a/c, as without it it was too hot, but some people were fine just with a fan.

I’ve been backpacking the world for 15 months. Without second thought this has been my favorite place I’ve stayed. Not only are the beds comfortable and the rooms spacious, but the staff is top notch. They made me feel completely welcome and honestly treated me like family. Always greeting me with a genuine smile and making sure I was comfortable. I’ll definitely be staying here on return trips. Greatful I chose this place and a little sad to leave.

Really great friendly hotel with very convenient location just off the Lighthouse beach. Comfortable and clean rooms each with own small terrace. The two Hotel owner/managers, Christopher and Wilfred, used to run a restaurant so breakfast is great, and they will offer lunch/dinner at request (excellent food). Beautifully kept and peaceful entrance/garden area. Tuktuk day/half day trips of various types can be undertaken with Christopher, a fantastic way to see everything. All the staff give service beyond expectations. Lovely place and would love to go back.
