HOTEL ALAKAPURI KOZHIKODE

Had been at the restaurant many times for dinners and lunch. The last time when I hosted a dinner party at teh banquet hall- the service they offered was really wonderful and that too at a really reasonable price. Every single staff I encountered that evening was really cheerful and helpful. To be honest, I was not expecting anything less than what i received from this 60+ year old establishment. Their legacy is their service to the clients. Hoping that you'll hold on it in the future as well.❤️❤️❤️

The restaurant is just downright bad. I tried both the meals and the biryani, and both were disappointing. The biryani is a shame to Kozhikode. The service is okay-ish, but the pricing is not at all in line with what they are offering. Charging 240 for a fish fry is fine only if it tastes good, but it’s not acceptable when all you get is the aftertaste of the masala it’s fried in. I would not recommend this place and would not visit again. I do not understand the crowd at all.

*Recommended During my family visit to Kozhikode , I had the pleasure of dining at this delightful hotel. We savored a traditional Kerala meal, featuring an array of vegetable dishes such as aviyal, thoran, and theeyal, accompanied by roasted papad, curd, and sweet payasam. We also indulged in non-vegetarian delights, including fish curry and "Kallummakkaya" (mussel) roast.All the dishes were satisfactory. My relative from Kozhikode, a frequent patron, highly recommended this establishment, citing its excellent reputation and loyal customer base, which includes numerous VIPs. Upon arrival at 2 pm,we found the restaurant bustling with diners, a testament to its popularity and reliability. While my initial experience was gratifying , I look forward to future visits to explore more of their culinary offerings. This hotel features rooms for rent and an auditorium for events, though I didn't get to experience these amenities firsthand. So I can't provide further details on their rooms and event spaces. Notably, the hotel also provides ample parking space for patrons. Overall, this hotel has earned its reputation as a culinary gem, offering a memorable dining experience in a convenient and welcoming setting. Rating : 4/5

The place was very well kept and beautiful, attended a friends wedding and turned out to be memorable. After such a long time I had a coffee which i used to drink when I was in kerela. Brought back memories and comfort

One of the oldest hotels in Calicut. Near to Palayam bus stand and vegetable market. Spacious hall suitable for functions like marriage, reception etc. Well maintained Courtyard. Tasty foods. Service is also very good.

It's an iconic hotel of Calicut where the best Doshas were served once upon a time in late 80s and early 90s before the staff went on a strike and the management gave them the middle finger by shutting down the restaurant The breakfast is limited, average and very expensive. There are better veg options nearby like Ulsavam, Omkara.
