Keys Select by Lemon Tree Hotels, Malabar Gate

We recently stayed at Keys Select By Lemon Tree Hotels, Malabar Gate, Kozhikode, booking three rooms for one night. Overall, it was a mixed experience. Here are some highlights: Positives: Excellent Breakfast: The breakfast offered a great variety of options, all well-prepared and delicious. It was a perfect start to our day! Convenient Parking: The hotel provided ample parking space, which made it very convenient for us to park our vehicle without any hassle. Quick Check-In and Check-Out: The check-in and check-out processes were smooth and efficient, saving us time and making the experience stress-free. Areas for Improvement: Safety Concerns: The rooms lacked a safety lock, which made us feel uneasy. Room Size: The rooms were much less spacious than expected, making it uncomfortable to move around. Ventilation Issues: The exhaust fan was not working, leading to a stuffy atmosphere in the room. Missing Amenities: There was no iron box available, which was inconvenient. Climate Control: The climate control system did not display the room temperature, limiting control over comfort. Lack of Basics: There were no plates provided in the room. Bathroom Design: There was no separation between wet and dry areas in the bathroom, making it hard to keep things dry. Storage Inadequacies: The room had a shortage of hangers. Basic Supplies: Tissues were not provided. These issues affected our comfort and made for an overall disappointing stay. We expected better standards from a reputable hotel chain like Lemon Tree. Hopefully, management can address these concerns to improve the experience for future guests.

Booked the hotel by the name lemon tree. But couldn’t see anything like other lemon tree. Quite old hotel. Bathroom was renovated recently and was good, else room is quite old. Limited options in breakfast as well.

A great location for bus travelers. But the hotel fell short in its amenities, parts of the room seemed old, not functional and just old. The staff seemed undertrained and not that capable in handling customers. We were quoted two different rates by the staff for extending our stay, and the final amount we paid wasn't told to us beforehand which seemed wrong. The breakfast was good,love the 24 hours check in and out concept.

The old charm of this hotel gone. On 17th Dec 2024 we were checked in unfortunatly the room was not clean and full of dust. Then they gave another room but the lock was not working. We have managed to stay there.

I have stayed here with family when this property had started. This was one of our choices when we think of staying at calicut. Today I am back expecting the same, I was totally disappointed to see the entire look and feel have changed. Keys is another group we look forward with a great hope But even they couldn't keep this up to the mark. The bed linen is so shabby which we never expected at Malabar gate and also from the Key group of hotels. Its disheartening to see good properties like these lose their charm

I booked a delux room for 2 adults. It has bed, two chairs,a tv and a shelf. The room is well maintained. There is easy access to autorickshaw. The recepionist, housekeeping staff and bellhop are well disciplined and friendly,and the food served at the buffet were very delicious. The location is easily accessable to the beach and sm streets

Please dont stay here, its a very old building and don’t ever come here and not at all maintained. The ac make noise and starts like a fan regulator. Such an off putting place. I thought its lemontree and maybe they might have done some good job but now Im never staying with lemontree as well. THIS PLACE IS YUCK!!

The place is a bit old and shabby and few rooms are stinky. Average experience overall.
