Overall experience was good. Nice stay. Felt rooms a bit small compared to other Taj hotels. Interiors may be a bit better designed to create more space. Breakfast and dinner was very good. Had ayurvedic treatment. It was good. Had treated for back pain.

We stayed the Gateway for 5 nights with family. The pool is lovely and we enjoyed morning and evening swims. The pool had no pool toys for kids, though. The breakfast buffet was delicious and very varied. However I found the continental food to be seriously lacking. The staff are all polite and do their best to take care of their guests. I'll be happy to stay there again.

Had good quality sleep. Awesome team. The front office manager Mr Sanjai, the banquets manager Harekrishnan are Rockstars, so it the housekeeping manager Mr Singh. Food was awesome in the South Western Coastal Festival (Konkan, Goan, Mangalorean ) on during my stay. Above 5 stars for the spread as it was 'light on my heart' (oil we many like to stay away was less) taste great and spread such you can mix and match (like I had bread with prawn curry and fresh bread roll with beans usli. Chef was Mr Prakash from Cape Comorin Taj Westend Bengaluru. His receipe of Lentil Crumble - Beans Usli) was out of this world. And his connotations for those with a sweet tooth is yummy.

This hotel has everything a person needs. Warmth, hospitality, comfortable bed, clean rooms, nice restaurants and great ambience. Good shower, walking distance from the beach and yet reasonably priced. |Stayed for a conference next day|Comfortable bed, delicious breakfast with huge spread, black coffee as requested.|No complaints |Wonderful experience

Our stay was truly remarkable, marked by exceptional service, a stunning location, and exquisite cuisine. It easily ranks as one of the finest experiences we've had. The pet-friendly nature of the place was a delightful bonus—they embraced our golden retriever with open arms and she had as wonderful a time as we did. We never felt uneasy at any point. A heartfelt thanks to Mr. Sanjai for his gracious hospitality. We are eagerly anticipating our return!

Very close to beach. South Indian dishes also served in breakfast... Serene view... Decent place to stay wid family. When kids play in pool a security always there and keeps an eye on kids when we sit and enjoy our food.

It is often told that lightning does not strike the same spot twice...but at Farook College it has happened."...|was the "chapeau" of one of the celebrated editorials Prof.P.V.Rajagopal Sir used to write for Farook College magazine .This was on the occasion of the magnificent and iconic new edifice of Farook College coming to life....way back in the 70s...|Let me borrow the same expression to comment on the splendid evening we had at Taj Gateway Cape Comerin , Kozhikode on the 4th Aug..in the scintillating company of the brilliant minds of Sri Ajay Kumar(Joint Secretary,Ministry of External affairs and formerly Indian Ambassador to Iran and Iraq and Deputy High Commissoner/High Commissoner to Canada, Australia and Uganda)and our common friend retd IIMK professor Sri Nandakumar Warrier who is presently engaged in translating a Swedish work to English.(After having published best-sellers)|We had a similar "lightning-strike" evening a few years back...at the same spot...|Our deep gratitude to Team Taj comprising of M/S Sanjay, Sumesh Nair,Shine and Stince..who scripted new dimensions to the art of hospitality a la Taj..and made the evening a memorable experience...|Our special gratitude to Shri Ashok Menon , Human Resources Manager, Gateway Bekal)who drone-contolled the orchestration..to its beautiful denoument...like untying a long-awaited gift hamper....|Thank you Taj..

The Gateway Hotel in Calicut is an amazing hotel, it was a pleasant and memorable experience for us during our stay. The staffs are fantastic, thoughtful, kind and always ready to help. The wide spread breakfast menu, tasty foods are fresh and delightful. Rooms are perfect, clean, comfort and has peaceful ambience. Located within heart of the city, walk-able distance to Calicut beach to indulge during evening. It has huge swimming pool at the center, and lovely garden around the hotel. Highly recommended for stay during family/business trips to Kozhikode
