OYO Hotel Lonely Stay

A very nice and calm place with all birds chirping. The location provides an opportunity to enjoy the serenity of nature to the fullest. The Rooms are clean and provide a soothing smell of the surrounding environment. The rooms are affordable. Overall I would say it is a very good place to have yourself relaxed and you would never regret the experience.

Ambience: Cozy enough for couples or families Access: A bit far from thekkedy, but time and travel sacrifices can be done for this stay. Food: simple North Indian dishes would surely remind you of home food. Staff & service: rated a star less because of staff, were a bit non-attentive to the requests made. Overall I would prefer to come again 😊

Booked here thru MMT. Got this heavenly place for 3k for 3 rooms. Property is amazing. Just out of the crowd and busy streets. Place is as the name..lonely, quiet and clean. Chef Avinash and his team leave no stone unturned. Awesome service. Proper North Indian food available.

Amazing location. Amazing Service . Amazing Food (vegetarian only). Staying here and travelling to Thekkady for a day of wildlife experience makes for a perfect vacation. Lonely Stay is in the lap of nature, and provides you with the perfect getaway from all din and bustle of the city you live in.

We visited the property as a part of tour package. Unfortunately, we checked in at night 9 PM and could not make out anything around. We arrived to find our stay in a room made from gypsum boards overlooking the hillside. There was a constant stink from the bathroom and the main fan in the room was moving very slowly. On inquiring with the caretaker we came to know that there is no voltage. No AC was provided as the place is usually meant to be cool. We were not sure how to react as this was the first time I have faced the situation. These so called cottages were made of gypsum boards and they provided no privacy between the shared rooms at all- we could cleary hear our neighbors' conversation. Our tour operator was courteous enough to get in touch with OYO and get better rooms/ hotel. We were provided with better rooms on top of the main structure in the property. This took a lot of time and hassle at the time when all we wanted to do was get into beds after 5 hours of drive over the hills from airport. It seems that the property owner only lets out the substandard rooms for OYO and rest is kept to himself for independent booking. Next morning when we got up and asked what is for breakfast, the caretaker said bread and aaloo paratha. As it is the situation was bad and on top of that the nonchalant behavior from the caretaker regarding the whole situation was frustrating, only explanation he can give us is 'Sir, it is off season'. By chance I walked into the kitchen and found the whole place stinking. Dirty dishes lying in sink, flies everywhere and moldy glasses and cups. Previous days left over food still on the kitchen counter; the whole sight made me sick . This was the last straw which prompted us to checkout from the property which we were contemplating till then. ||Fortunately we had a pleasant day and the activities we did on the day helped us to put the events of experience with 'Lonely Stay' behind us and enjoy Thekkady. For people booking using OYO to book "specialty" properties, I insist them to read reviews on TripAdvisor before confirming their stay.

Great experience and great location... Loved your North India food...fullsome breakfast.. Aloo paratha were simply good... they ustand requirements of Jain food well.. Staff was very friendly...I think best part was location of property... It is situated in middle of spice garden..

This place location and view took our breath away this is one of the best place which you can stay if you are thinking of thekkadi. Homely food super awesome clean room and friendly staff with very attractive rate.

Best for couples Honeymoon couples Lovers I love this place.... Full of surrounding in nature Adventure mode Rooms are good Nice location Easy to reach Low cost Foods available only vegetarian. Good responsibility........
