Hotel Gowrivandanam, Attukal

There are two set of rooms. Old ones and new ones. Old ones are not well maintained. No hot water tap etc. Heard this is still the decent hotel to stay in the area.

Very unhappy with the hotel and the room boy.my friend's dad booked the room for us ,we went there to check-in at 10pm.the room boy was drunken,he took us to 3rd floor(no lift) n showed us a room ,we could not enter the room as it was smelling very bad,.he switched on fan and light but the fan didn't work.he asked one of us to climb the bed and rotate the fan. When I asked for another room he said there are no rooms,when I insisted on leaving he said he will check,went down to the reception and was telling the receptionist in a foul language that the girl is asking for another room which I happened to hear and immediately came out of the hotel with my family and searched for another room and got one near by which was much decent than gowri vandanam.

A good hotel located just behind the famous Attukal devi temple. Maintained very clean. The staffs are very helpful & well behaving.

If u want to visit Attukal temple it's really close to it. But I suggest you to carry your own blankets...

Ac rooms are neat and tidy but normal rooms are above average only
