Hi, want to share my experience during my stay for three days. The basic things in the room had problems. Flush stopped working on the second day, early in the morning my room ran out of water, hot water was not there one day, the next day also I had to follow up to start hot water, no electricity early morning 5am, had to walk up to lobby to get generator started On a vacation I was dealing with these basic problems which is pathetic experience to the price being charged. Not at all recommended place to stay.

Seashore Beach Resort – A Peaceful Retreat on South Cliff, Varkala I recently stayed at Seashore Beach Resort for 4 days and had a calming, peaceful experience. Here's an overview of my stay and insights for future guests: Location: Situated on the South Cliff of Varkala, offering a serene and quiet environment. The property opens up to the cliff with staircases leading directly to a private beach. Although swimming is not recommended due to strong currents and rocks, the beach is perfect for relaxing by the water and enjoying the scenic beauty. Rooms & Pricing: The resort has 14-15 rooms of different categories to cater to various budgets. I stayed in their basic AC room, which cost me around ₹3200-3500 per night (including taxes and breakfast). The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Other options include non-AC rooms (which are cheaper) and higher-end rooms ranging between ₹6,000-9,000 per night. Service & Hospitality: The property manager was incredibly warm, helpful, and knowledgeable about the area. He assisted with arranging 2-wheelers, taxis, and provided valuable tips on places to visit, enhancing the overall experience. Ambience & Amenities: The resort offers a tranquil garden area with direct sea views, ideal for relaxing and enjoying the beauty of the coastline. Parking is available for both 2-wheelers and 4-wheelers, making it convenient for travelers with vehicles. Breakfast & Dining: One downside is that the property does not have an active kitchen beyond breakfast service. The breakfast menu is limited, and for lunch or dinner, you'll need to explore nearby restaurants or use Zomato for delivery. Nearby Dining Options: Soul Cafe – Located right next to the property. Cafe Sarwa – Approximately 300-400 meters away. Trip is Life – Around 500 meters from the resort. Summary: Seashore Beach Resort is perfect if you're looking for a peaceful getaway with stunning sea views and easy access to a private beach. While the absence of a full kitchen could be a downside, the location, affordability, and the manager's assistance more than make up for it. Highly recommended for travelers seeking tranquility on Varkala’s quieter side!

Excellent view of the sea & beach from the cliff where the resort is located. The complimentary breakfast was decent and tasty. The room was small for the cost but the view compensated for it ( not from the room.... Outside from the lawn ... dining area. The toilet was clean and nice. The staff were friendly and attentive.

I arrived at Varkala Cliff Sea Shore from Europe after travelling for more than 24 hours thinking I have a nice shower and a good sleep. The location is beautiful and I thought lovely place to stay for the next two weeks. They showed me a room which was smaller than I expected and I felt I couldn’t really breath I there . I took out my phone to make phone calls and the reception was very poor. I already made a payment in advance for a day and I was going the rest of the payment on arrival. I knew straight away there was no way I could stay there for two weeks. The staff came up and demanded I make a payment for the next 10 days and I felt quite pressed by this demand. I agreed to stay there for one day as I have already made the payment. They person in charge was quite rude and said unless I make full payment I could not stay there and ASKED ME TO TAKE MY LUGGAGE STAY OUTSIDE THE PREMISES. I have never been subjected to such treatment from from any one in my whole life. I requested for my money back but the manager refused to give me my money. I left Sea Shore and booked my self in a near by hotel. This is my experience at Sea Shore at Varkala. Hence, anyone booking to stay there pleas be aware of how the staff can treat their guest. They still haven’t returned my money. I am absolutely disgusted by they treated me and I will never ever allow any of my friends or family to stay at Sea Shore. I near by hotel I stayed never even asked for any payments until the night I left.

It’s been three years (mostly due to the Covid pandemic) since my last visit to this lovely cliff top hotel and I was delighted to return in November for a four week stay. They’ve extended the hotel upwards with another floor providing more rooms and giving guests a sea view as well as a beautiful panorama over the grounds. Another newly added attraction is the outdoor shower for guests to wash away sand from the beach below. The restaurant has been reroofed and I understand there are plans to offer a lunch and dinner menu in addition to the existing breakfast fare. A new chef has been appointed along with a new kitchen team. So lots of new changes. What hasn’t changed is the great friendly and professional service provided by the owner Shine, his excellent manager Mandéen and the happy smiling staff whose sole purpose appears to be to ensure you have an enjoyable stay. If you want a relaxing and peaceful break this is the place to be. As different from the busy and overcrowded North Cliff as night is to day.|Highly recommended.
