Villa Jacaranda

We stayed here for 6 nights and absolutely loved it! Ajay and his team were so welcoming and made the place feel like home. The room had a veranda with an amazing view of the sea. The breakfast was amazing with fresh homemade bread everyday. We also had dinner here one evening which was delicious. The location is great - only a few minutes walk down to the beach. There is also a really nice pool. Ajay was such a wonderful host and provided us with so many useful local recommendations and advice. Would highly recommend staying here!

My fiancé and I loved our stay at Villa Jacaranda. Owner Ajay is clearly very talented and passionate about what he does, and is a pleasure to chat to. He has created a beautiful villa and, with the help of his team, provides such a memorable experience for his guests.||Villa:|The property itself is beautifully appointed and well laid-out to offer privacy to guests, and the new salt water pool offers a refreshing escape from the heat of the day. Our spacious room had double French doors leading out onto a lovely terrace overlooking the sea. We spent hours up there, relaxing with a book or observing the local wildlife.||Food:|Ajay's delicious breakfasts were one of the highlights of our trip, especially his famous fruit bowl! We also enjoyed a delicious home-cooked feast prepared by Ajay one of the nights. On our other evenings, we visited Chimney restaurant following a recommendation from Ajay, and we're served up some of the best fish dishes we had during our time in India!||Location:|The location of the villa is also great, with only a short 5 min walk down to the beach. We enjoyed being on the south cliff as we found it to be much more secluded and peaceful, especially if you head even further south along the beach. The sunsets, whether observed from the villa's terrace or the beach, were amazing. We'd also recommend enjoying one of the sunsets from Cafe Sarwaa, which is only a 5-10 min walk from the villa.||A huge thanks to Ajay, his team and his friendly resident pets (especially Romy) for making our stay so memorable!

Our host was great. He was genuinely friendly but not overbearing. The staff were delightful and clearly well trained. The place was clean and the decor quirky. Lovely to have a pool to cool down in, though the beach is just round the corner.

This was a great find. I stayed in a room on the first floor with a lovely balcony where we had breakfast at a time of our choosing. The fruit bowls were a delicious combination of at least 7 types of fruit. My friend stayed on the ground floor with a more spacious bedroom and terrace next to the salt pool. The garden is an absolute delight and so is the service. To top all of this, Absolute Ayurvedic is just two houses north from Villa Jacaranda. The massages are super reasonably priced and very good.

I visited a first time Varkala two months ago, and it was my favourite stop. Mostly thanks to Ajay and his gorgeous villa. I was looking for some peace and I surely find it there, every detail in the house being so pleasing to the eyes. Ajay is the greatest host, his team caring and competent which made me came back with my wife a week ago. And we will surely come back as soon as we can!

We enjoyed our stay at Villa Jacaranda immensely! The room was clean and comfortable, and the setting was like a lush oasis. The breakfast included a delicious omelette and freshly baked bread. One night during our stay, Ajay prepared us a vegetarian supper that was outstanding. My son and I loved the several desserts.||Upon returning to the US, the owner Ajay, kindly assisted us with the rerouting of a parcel. Such professionalism!||I recommend Villa Jacaranda, whole heartedly!

The only thing I can think about this place is why I didn’t stay longer! Ajay has built this beautiful house, 22 years ago, immersed in colors, patterns and lots of flowers. The place is very quiet and special, perfect to wind down your mind. The breakfast is the best I’ve had in India so far, I’ll be dreaming about that bowl of fruits for a very long time. The staff serving the breakfast was so kind and smiled so much that your morning would get immediately better. The location is perfect, far enough from the buzz of the North Cliff, and less than 5 minutes on foot from the beach. Every detail is thought of just for us, guests, and it was a great pleasure to be able to visit this amazing place!

We absolutely enjoyed the stay, We loved the attention to detail, from the privacy the guests have with the breakfast seating arrangements to the dress code of your serving staff and the paintings and deco in the villa and the rooms. Your staff were polite and professional. We really loved the breakfast, especially the freshly baked bread. Your pets were also adorable. We have also been dreaming about creating a BNB like yours and were really impressed as it is hard to find such well maintained/run places in India. You guys have created a gem of a place and hats off for that.
