Queens Tourist Home Vadakara

As someone who visited the hotel solely for booking purposes, I was thoroughly unimpressed with both the room and the reception service. The reception staff seemed disinterested, bordering on rude, with little to no knowledge about the available rooms or amenities. Their customer service skills were lacking, as they failed to address my inquiries adequately and seemed more focused on their personal conversations than assisting potential guests. The overall ambiance of the reception area was lackluster, with outdated decor and an unpleasant odor lingering in the air. Based on my brief encounter, I have serious doubts about the quality of the accommodations and the level of service one can expect during a stay at this establishment. I would strongly advise looking elsewhere for accommodations.

I booked 2 rooms, one for my parents and the other for two relatives of mine who are really old. They asked for an extra bed for the driver and charged 700 for it. That means, an extra bed on the floor costs more than the double bed for a person. Wow, that's interesting. Wait for the takeaway.!!Then, while vacating the room, they again took advantage of those poor old people by charging more money for commission charges. Such greedy people. If I was there this should not happen.

There was electrical issue in my room which was causing AC and lights to switch off (listen to the attached video with sound)...hotel did not provide us different room even after complaining multiple times...had to stay there with fear of short circuit overnight...horrible guest experience. Edit after hotel response: We had 4 rooms booked on the same night as this incident happened. None of the other rooms reported electrical fluctuations, hence don't put it on KSEB for your faulty electrical works. Instead of giving alternate room that night you people are calling me to delete this post.

It is near to vadakara railwaystation ( 400m) Rooms are spacious and all the amenities were provided to us. But the way in which securityguard deals with customers is not that good. At the entrance itself Bar is located. There was no separate gate for entry. Entry gate is congested. No ample parking space. Food and room service was ok.

We stayed at Queens for a day and we had a comfortable experience there. Renovation is going on but still they didn't give any chance for complaints. Room was clean n tidy. Bedding was too good, they provided extra sheets. Main point was that they provided hot water to drink throughout the stay and even enquired at times coming personally to ask if we needed any assistance. Thankyou.

Pros: good location, walking distance from the train station, and the town center, very close to many local shops. The staff is nice and courteous. Cons: The room we got was moldy and smelled strongly of mildew. There was no hot water in the shower and the bathroom was old and unpleasant. There was commotion on the roof till midnight. The hotel didn't offer wifi. We booked a stay with breakfast included, but when we asked for breakfast we were told our booking did not include it.
