Green pepper- By the riverside

The rooms are excellent. We stayed one day with 19 adults; the owner gives the best room at the best price. The owner's hospitality is very good. The room has enough support for the kitchen with vessels. Very nearest (Room entrance itself) one river is going on, very safe and best place to bathe. We really enjoyed it.

Worst service. Staff of the hotel were least helpful. They were not understanding any language (I guess except Malayalam). When we spoke in Hindi/English, they behaved as if they could not understand even a single word. It is hard to locate the hotel itself as there is no board mentioning the name. There is no TV in the room unlike mentioned in their website. Geyser was not working and when we told them about the issue, again they behaved as if they did not understand what we spoke. They did not even take a single step to correct it. Though we had a complimentary breakfast, we had to opt-out because it was much better to eat outside than to convey them what we wanted for breakfast. ||Hotel is located at a good, calm place in Vythiri. That is the only plus point we found about this hotel. ||Avoid this hotel to enjoy your stay in Wayanad.

Me ,my wife and my 5 year old daughter stayed in April, for two nights.This property is too close to National highway and kabani river. The river is samll, but, you can still get in to water and play, the quantity of water is limited now, but it will be full in monsoon. Food was nice and the service staffs were friendly. Overall it was a nice stay .

Good location, spacious rooms. We went during the rainy season and hence the river was unsuitable for swimming purposes. The staff although well behaved do lack some proffesionalism... Parking lot available for small and medium cars only... Larger tempo travellers won't fit in.. The only negative remark to be made is that they didnt prepare any breakfast, rather they had bought it from a nearby hotel and that too with just one dish. Overall it was a good stay but the staff can act in a little more proffesional manner.

Pros:||This hotel has good rooms with good view of small stream of river flowing in front. Dot. This is it.||Cons: Starting from the beginning,|| 1) No Board at the Hotel Building: This establishment doesn't even have the board indicating the name. We spent 30 mins searching for the hotel and since I have seen the pics in TripAdvisor portal was able to identify the building.||2) No reception area or representative present: After locating the hotel, went in to confirm if it is 'Wayanad Green Pepper'. To my surprise, there is no reception. Just a small table in almost open area and not a single human being in visibility. Contacted the phone number mentioned in the receipt. After 15 mins wait at no mans building, i got to see the hotel representative.||3)Speaking Malayalam is a must: Finally after getting to see hotel representatives face I had to face another challenge of communicating with him. He didn't understand English or Hindi properly. ||4) No TV: there is no TV provided in the room as advertised. For me it makes no difference since I dont watch TV when I am on trip. But big no for false advertising.||5) No Phone: There is no phone provided in the rooms to communicate with the hotel management. First of its kind.||6) No Lift: No lifts are provided. if you are allotted with the room in 2nd floor you have to carry your luggage by yourself. Hotel staff were unprofessional enough not to help.||7) No Hot water: Geysers are provided in all the rooms but they are just to showcase. Whenever you switch on the geyser main switch trips. Tried to contact hotel staff on phone, no one picks up the contact number provided. Went down to meet him personally only to find deserted lobby. Such a creepy place, no one to care about guests.||8) No Restaurant: There is no restaurant present in this lodge. Our booking included complementary breakfast which was not provided. When asked about it, they just act as if they dont understand what i was speaking. Nice trick though.||||Conclusion:||This place is totally creepy with least amount of staff( only two to be specific) who are least helpful. They wont take any responsibility for guests comfort. May be one who knows Malayalam may communicate with these guys but I strongly don't recommend this place for non Malayalam speaking travelers.

The hotel's, so call reception is in basement with no light on entrance and around the entry . We struggle to find the hotel as it was located at a very dark place . The property is not at all maintained. We booked hotel by seeing the reviews and unfortunately have to cancel our booking after reaching and looking at the place and have to go on roads in the late night finding new hotel. The rooms and bathroom has got seepage and lots of spider webs around light lamps , corridor and walls. Hope the hotel was maintained properly. At this price , might be good for bachelor but not for family and for a happy stay and comfortable vacation .

Bad experience, there is no bathing kit or dental kit inside the room if you require you need to purchase it from them. At time of checkout the receptionist argued saying towel has been stolen. We are 8 members booked resort for 9k, does we travelled from Coimbatore to Wayanad to steal towel, this is how you treat your guests for a cheap quality towels that you have with. Receptionist argued to open bag to show how cheap their resort was. I never suggest you to book here.

Great place along river Kabini backwaters. No great games other than carrom. Hygienic bathroom and room interiors are good. Breakfast was tasty. We stayed for a day. Overall OK place
