Hotel Magnet

Disappointed and distressed. We (myself and my friend, both of us are women) booked this hotel for one day. Our train was delayed to Coimbatore, so we reached maraiyoor at 12am at night. We got down at the wrong bus stop (because the conductor got us down saying this is the stop, plus we are new to the place). At that time there was no auto, no one and nothing. We called and asked this hotel manager for help, whether someone could pick us up or if he got any auto contact. But instead of helping us, he was constantly asking one question: "Why did you get down there? That is not the stop." What is the point of asking us the question? We got down, we are lost, we are on the road, 3kms away. He kept on asking the same question and didn't try to help us. So i said, "Sir, this is not helping, can you pick us up?" He said "no", then i asked if a refund was possible. He said no. He blocked my number and said that I had spoken wrong, and he would not give me the room. This is where the hospitality and humanity of this place lies. I believe he is older, ideally wiser, originally from this very town, but this is how he helped 2 women who got lost at night and asked for his help.

Very disappointing stay. The room was unclean and the bedsheets were dirty, which made the stay very uncomfortable. There was no room service at all, not even help with luggage. Hot water was available only in the morning, which is unacceptable considering the high price of the room. I was told I could book through Goibibo as it was showing availability there, but the staff later refused to accept Goibibo bookings. Overall, the hotel is overpriced for the poor facilities and service provided. Not recommended to anyone

One of the best hotel to stay in marayoor,offering 3 star facility in a budget rate, located at the centre of marayoor town,hotel is very neat and clean,staff is so friendly always very eager to help.....................

I stayed at this hotel for about 3 nights while visiting Marayoor, Kanthaloor, and Munnar. My entire trip was arranged by Jeep, with Dinesh assisting us from start to finish. Throughout the journey, it truly felt like a close friend was driving us—he created so much comfort and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Special thanks to Siju, who offered us a very budget-friendly package for the entire trip. The room rent was also very reasonable—I haven’t come across such a decent price anywhere else. My journey started and ended in Udumalaipet. On the first day, we explored nearby areas, went on a short trek safely managed by Kerala Tourism, enjoyed a zipline, and even took a refreshing bath in the waterfalls at Thirumoorthy Dam. The next day was dedicated to Marayoor and Kanthaloor. Since Dinesh knows many local people, he guided us to some beautiful hidden spots—sandalwood forests, fruit farms, waterfalls, Muruga Malai, another zipline, and more. He always gave us enough time and privacy to enjoy as a family. We then headed to Munnar, where we visited the breathtaking Lakkam Waterfalls, the national park, botanical garden, and several scenic viewpoints. On the final day, Dinesh took us on one of the best treks and to the Thuvanam Waterfalls, along with a few other special places. Overall, it was a truly memorable journey for us. A big thank you to Dinesh and Siju for making this trip so comfortable, affordable, and unforgettable.
