Dakghar 606

We spent three nights at Dakghar 606 Boutique hotel end Nov 24 and left the place highly impressed. The location is right at the heart of Khajuraho town very close to Western Group of temples. The hotel is class apart, artistically decorated, very clean & cosy rooms and with nice ambience. The host and the staff at the hotel were very polite, helpful and displayed the wonderful Indian hospitality to the full extent. The food prepared at their kitchen was also very tasty .No hesitation in mentioning that stay at Dakghar played a vital part in making our trip to the ancient temple town of Khajuraho memorable. The stay at this beautiful boutique hotel was worth every penny .

Yashaswani Bhayal was fantastic, so helpful and her team were great. In summary, very clean rooms, quiet and a great location and a walk to temples. Nothing too much trouble. Very good value too. Would not look elsewhere. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5 stars for the rooms , service and the location! The staff is humble, well trained and professional. Food is great and well served. You can have tea/coffee inside the room however for breakfast and lunch/dinner is served in a seperate area upstairs which is again very well kept and decorated. Washrooms are big and spotlessly clean. Clean pillows and blankets. hotel is situated close to western side of temples. Very much recommended. If you are visiting Khajuraho and the property, request you to keep it clean and please be responsible tourist ! cheers

Dakghar 606 is the hotel situated in front of Shiv Sagar Lake. It gives an amazing lake view and the lake looks beautiful in the evening. Rooms are good and spacious plus cleaning is done thoroughly. The bathroom was clean and hygienic. The food served was fresh and delicious. The hotel is nearby to the main temple complex, you can go there by walking only. The Market is accessible (walking distance) from the hotel from where you can get souvenirs.

The Dakghar 606 was a pleasant surprise. We absolutely loved the property. It is located on a prime spot. The entrace to the western group of temples is just 15 mins walking, and the bazaar with cafes and restaurants is also just a 5 mins walk away. The room was quite spacious and clean. All the amenities necessary were provided. The staff was extremely courteous and polite. We had booked the balcony room which was perfect and had a view of the lake. The room was well priced and would highly recommend it to everyone. The only drawback is the food, which is not very good and the fact that they do not have a lift incase you are traveling with senior citizens, but otherwise its a great property!

It’s a very nice property designed as post office located on main road in khajuraho. It’s just infront of shivsagar lake and is at walking distance to all cafes, restaurants and western group of temples. I got it for around 3-3.5k for 3 people 1 day. It was worthy. The room was clean . Had wonderful common area with birds chirping in morning. Washroom was clean. There were few things lacking. Like the room don’t have intercom. There is no fridge. Shortage of staff. It’s mostly run by female staff and they come around 9am. We reached at 7am, paid extra for early check inn and had to wait till 9 for staff to come so that they can provide us mattress,water etc. We didn’t try food here. But as i saw in other reviews. Its simple and good. The owner is quite helpful, informed me everything on call. Overall a great place to stay in khajuraho if you’re not looking for luxury. All the best guys! Keep growing.

Its a very nice hotel, closest to the temple. the rooms are clean and comfortable, I would have given it a 5 star. But the only thing that felt abrupt was that even though we had reached there through a family reference, the staff abruptly asked us for payment before even showing the room, they asked as if we would default their payment or something, we had not even seen the room, we were holding our own heavy luggage, no water nothing, she just put the pen down and 'pehle payment kar dijiye'. We definitely did pay, but there is a way of asking. People travel from far away and the way of asking was very abrupt, and not at all courteous. Also while checking out we were told abruptly again to wait and stand, as they checked the room. Sure, go ahead, you are supposed to do that, but you are not supposed to make us feel like culprits. I have travelled the world, but I would like to kindly say that there is a way of doing these things in the hospitality sector. Nevertheless, the rooms are very neat clean and tidy, and I'll recommend this hotel, just be prepared for abrupt disregards.

An amazing place to stay conveniently located at the centre, everything is walkable from here. The property faces the lake, and is new and the rooms are neat and clean. The staff is helping and courteous, they do accomodate your requests related to food, snacks etc. The one thing that has a scope of improvement is the kitchen -- they have limited rooms so they cook things upon order only it seems. The salt content in food is less but the kitchen is not to blame, most of the restaurants in this region serve food that we north Indians would find less salty. All in all, an excellent place to stay, better than other places in the vicinity!
