Purnima Hotel

Rooms were clean but very small in size. The staff is not friendly, they are rude, one was okay. You hear noises from reception when they talk. 10am checkout, consider this as well as per your need. The location is ok not so congested but mud on the road and rainy season make it worse.

I booked this place after reading a couple of reviews. But honestly, I have no idea who finds this place awesome 😂 All of them should experience real “awesomeness” — I genuinely suggest that. In one of the reviews, there was a mention of bed bugs, and in another, it was stated that the issue had been resolved. Trusting the overall positive reviews, I went ahead and booked this hotel. But it turned out to be a nightmare. 1)Some rooms STILL have bed bugs. I was initially allotted a room that had bed bugs — I got bitten, and even after 24 hours, I still have lumps on my body. I was moved to another room, which didn’t have bed bugs, but was filled with insects. OMG! I’ve never paid to live with so many insects. I adjusted only because I had already paid, and honestly, I don’t think Omkareshwar has many great options — at least not from what I saw. 2) Wi-Fi doesn’t work in some rooms. A minor issue compared to the rest, but still worth mentioning. 3) The rooms were not clean. There were strands of hair in the corners, and the waste bin looked dirtier than the waste itself! Don’t even get me started on the corridor I walked through — it looked like a breeding ground for houseflies, with mud patches all over. 4) The area outside the hotel is muddy. But to be fair, that’s the case with most hotels here, so not entirely surprising. 5) The staff were apologetic, but that doesn’t really solve the customer’s problems. I had to change rooms twice — first due to the Wi-Fi issue, and then because of bed bugs. 6) The washroom — While the floor was reasonably clean, the overall maintenance was poor. The ceiling wasn’t even properly cemented, among other issues. 7) It was extremely noisy until 12:30 AM — the staff were talking loudly, making noise while climbing the stairs, and so much more! I felt like I was trying to sleep in the middle of a market. Finally, during check-in they weren't prompt in giving me the room sharp at 12 PM but they were prompt during check-out. Well, that's still fine. But the service is PATHETIC. And the funniest part? When I asked about the so-called “good reviews,” I was told that they write the reviews themselves. So, if you’re looking for an honest one — you’re reading it now. For me, Google reviews are no joke.

Its a good stay for spending a night in Omkareshwar, it's just 5m away from the bridge to omkareshwar jyotirling. The service is quick, and the manager is helpful as he helped with fixing a cab to ujjain early in the morning. The rooms are good for staying. The rooms could be more clean and the bathroom fittings could be less flimsy but for the price its a decent stay.

Hotel was good room were clean. Staff's were very friendly. The price was affordable. But the toilet seat was broken and the washbasin was also broken.

I travelled with a family of four and stayed for two nights in the last week of December 2024. Excellent location, great hospitality, clean rooms and a positive ambience in the hotel. They waited for us till 1:00 am till our arrival and called us multiple times to know our status. I recommend this to anyone going to visit Omkareshwar. The hotel managers were very helpful and even helped us arrange for our travel to Indore. Highly recommended.

The room were good but very expensive for a night stay keeping in mind the surroundings,food and room services. Suggest to eat very mild food as the food can cause stomach ailments.. Need to improve wifi services in the hotel. Could have been better for the money hotel charges per night.
