Worst hotel experience of my life! Please stay awake. We had a last minute plan to visit temples in Ujjain with family, and had booked 3 rooms as a backup, in case I couldn’t find anything else. Mad rush during Independence Day long weekend, and Janmasthmi, and hotels were running out fast, and unfortunately no other was available. We are used to nice hotels, so I knew going in that this will be bad, but didn’t expect it to go this low. We wanted proximity to Mahakal temple to be able to atttend Bhasm Aarti, but the entire 2 km region doesn’t really have decent places to stay or eat. Let’s start with check-in experience. It’s not even called Fab anymore. The staff just hangs out in the lobby playing video games on their phones, and uses the sofa as their sleeping bed. What a way to welcome guests. I had booked through booking.com, and these guys wanted to avoid their cut, and told me that they will cancel my booking, which initially confused me. Because where else will I stay if they cancel. Then got to know their plan. Rooms were smelly. Of cigarette and piss. Door mats were old, dirty to the extent you wouldn’t even want to look. Bed sheet were torn or burnt by cigarette marks. Later found out that rooms had crawling cockroaches. Walls had stains. Don’t even get me started on the bathroom. It had hard water stains all over. Toilet seat was wet with water and they didn’t even have toilet paper to dry it. Called the guy the clean the bathroom and we used the same floor wiper on the toilet seat. No sense of hygiene. Just the worst experience. Regardless we had to sleep for one night, to visit temple, and somehow survived and then checked out early the very next day. Hotel doesn’t have any restaurant, I am glad, else people will just fall sick! Traveling with family with elderly parents and infant and toddler was a nightmare that I wish no one goes through. The infrastructure around the temple needs much development, and really wish it matches the glory of the temple, but this hotel should be banned. Left a permanent traumatic mark. AVOID AVOID AVOID !

Worst experience ever in this beautiful city of mahakal. Staff behaviour is rude. Didnt get a room after payment.
