Hotel Rajgad Guhagar

Rajgad Beach homestays are really good and awesome, though they don't provide home service. Also household equipments are not working like fridge and AC, Worst experience was food that they serve don't have any taste and price for preparation is too high, like he is charging 150 rs for 1 rice cooking and that rice also brought by us, We brought 1800 rs fish- surmai, bangda and kolambi and he charged us apx 1400 for cooking, we are not complaining about charges but the food he prepared was taste less. Below points for further assessment: 1. Location of beach is 5 star. 2. Room service - they don't provide room service. 3. Fridge and AC are not working - 4. Don't go for Rajgad hotel for food cooking, instead cook yourself. Happy vacation.

Been to Rajgad hotel this November and stayed in their cottage. They have some 6 AC cottages each of which can accomodate upto 5 adults comfortably. The rooms are a bit less maintained (noisy fans, non-working refrigerator, broken curtain rods, etc) but the best point is they open to the beach (almost private) directly. Beach is clean, just about 50 mtrs from the cottage, leading to scenic beauty. Room service is poor, will take much time to serve your order but there are a lot of restaurants nearby where you can enjoy the food. Full marks to the cottage location! There are sit outs outside each cottage where you can sit, relax, read, meditate, chitchat and have home cooked food delivered there. We purchased fish, crabs, prawns in the local market and handed over to a local person who cooked them as per our requirement and delivered them at our cottage along with chapati/ bhakari and rice + disposable plates and utensils, properly packed in stainless steel tiffin. Power backup is available to run the lights and fans. Pets are allowed.

For staying, it is very good, but the process of buying fish and having it cooked at the hotel is not ideal and very bad . Additionally, the service for snacks, lunch, and dinner is not satisfactory.

I recently had a highly unsatisfactory experience with Hotel Rajgad. Despite booking a room in advance and making partial payment, the management failed to honor our reservation. When contacted to ensure our room was ready, we were informed that it had been allocated to someone else and were left scrambling to find alternative accommodation. This level of incompetence and disregard for customer reservations is unacceptable. It not only caused inconvenience but also resulted in unnecessary stress and inconvenience. As a paying customer, I expected better treatment and professionalism from Hotel Rajgad. I strongly advise against booking with this establishment until they can demonstrate a commitment to honoring reservations and providing adequate customer service.

A great place to stay overnight while on the road in the Konkan coast. This property has rooms by the roadside and independent beachfront cottages. Not very modern in terms of furnishings and fittings but the attached bathroom is ok with a fire lit boiler for hotwater. A hotel staff is eager to help and ensured the boiler was lit in the evening and morning. Food was delivered by a nearby restaurant, their flyer with menu and contact details is stuck outside the door. The cottage is next to the beach, ideal for long morning and evening strolls. A deserted beach with activities or crowds (thankfully).

Worst experience any hotel can give you. Booked a room in advance also paid the amount, at the last minute I called them to make room ready, then the owner or manager replied we have alloted that room to someone else. And told us to other arrangement. Giving 1 ⭐ because no minus rating is available. This is their way of Atithi devo Bhav. BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT

If Google gave me option of giving this place zero star I would or even negative for that matter. The owner is a drunkard. Always drinking in front of the customers day or night. Using abusive language if you tell him you require basic stuff to be cleaned like our dinning table which was used by the previous customer. They keep things very unclean like bed covers, sheets, bathroom. If ask them to clean or demand or ask for clean one the owner will threaten you to vacate the room any time. They are only interested in taking the money and in return to give horrible service with pathetic behavior. Also there was a lot of restrictions on using the AC like you can use it at a specific temperature only you cant set it lower then 24°C even if you are feeling hot. Also only one AC remote for all rooms so they kept coming to our room to take the AC remote control from us. It's like paying money to live according to the owner will who is nothing but a drunken, abusive, threatening and greedy owner. It was horrible experience. I would highly request people to avoid this place if they want to have a good time at Guhagar. I see in the comment many people have written the same about this place but I missed reading the reviews and landed up having a horrible experience hence I request please read the reviews of this place and take the wise decision to avoid this place altogether.

Pros: 1. Good Location Cons: 1. Very poor services 2. Rooms are dirty and have lizards. Their staff never clean rooms even if you request multiple times 3. Not a single water bottle (and glass) supplied in any room 4. Untrained and Arrogant reception staff, owner is rude 5. They do not serve food. There is a restaurant infront of the hotel, but food quality is not good. 6. ACs were not working, use ceiling fans at your own risk because they can fall on you anytime. Check photos. 7. No security for rooms, because anyone can open windows from outside and easily enter in rooms. 8. Drunkards and smokers in premises so strictly a no no for family vacation 9. From hotel entrance to your rooms, you have to walk in complete darkness
