I visited the resort recently. Rooms :- The condition of the room is very bad. Bedsheets are old and smell bad. Location:- very accessible and near to parking lot. The resort area is surrounded by jungle. Food: Food is also ok. Staff:- Staff were very polite and helpful.

Good property & location However, there's an urgent need to look after basic hygiene There towels are not changed & being reused since ages, linen is worn out & most of the towels has stains, rooms have cob webs, kitchen needs white wash/pest control & much more hygiene MTDC can do certainly well with the tariff they are charging ! Staffs are polite & helpful !

I stayed with our family. The location of the resort is lovely. The rooms are big and comfortable. The linen can be better. The food quality available in the resort was very good. The staff service was reasonably good considering that it is a small hill station. There is a scope for MTDC to make this place more attractive. Sundar Pune

Very Big and good property, best in Mansoon. Very close to Dasturi Naka. Mr Patil manages well. Maintenance need improvement. Valley view rooms and family suits are best. Can bring your car from parking side. Aman Lodge station is very close by. Foods are also good. Breakfast needs improvement. Best part was Early Morning Jungle Trail to Panorama point by Mr Patil, no one should miss. You can see the beauty of Matheran in Rising sun of morning. Friends can party in the Evening.

Horrible. I booked standard rooms. Upgraded them to family cottages immediately after looking at the standard rooms. Even the cottages were horribly maintained. Intercoms not working. Staff is speechless and helpless if you ask anything. MTDC is shamelessly taking bookings of this place at hefty prices. Your stay will be spoilt, don't book even in free.

We booked a valley view deluxe room, stayed Thursday - Friday. Pros: Best place for nature lovers. So many trees and peaceful environment. Located right at the entrance. Attached to car parking. Inhouse veg/non veg restaurant, serves good quality good. Reasonable price. I ate dal khichdi since I am vegetarian. Big size room. They deliver food in the room but i recommend eating at the restaurant to avoid aluminium foil containers. Cons: Rooms need maintenance. Bedsheet, bed and bathroom tub were dirty. But the housekeeper changed it. Price doesn't change with days or demand. Its fixed. All drawers are jammed. FYI: Very quiet ambience, so solo travelers may feel scared & Beware of monkeys. The hotel is below average. The restaurant is worst. It is understaffed! Food quantity is average. There is no room service available. Wifi doesn't work. Overall, I do not recommend this place at all. It is at the base of the hill so anytime so you have to go sightseeing, you either have to take a horse or one of the e autos. It's better to stay at the market area.

First of all 5 stars for the location as it is just right beside the main parking spot and the train station. 4 stars for the rooms now just an FYI if you book Shruti villa then it is right near the reception and there is no restaurant there however if you are booking any deluxe rooms then they are at a walking distance from the reception. Book the valley view room if you want peace an amazing spot for relaxation and there is no network all over the area in Matheran. The breakfast was good and we had ordered dinner so that was also nice. Moving forward to the service you might have to ask for a mini fridge if you have booked a room that includes a mini fridge and if there is a fridge already there in your room do check if it is working and cooling. There is no intercom facility in any of the rooms. Also do check your tv cable connection as sometimes it maybe out of recharge. The main person there Mr Patil is a great man he'll help you with anything that is required and will arrange anything. So if you are visiting do take note😊
