Hotel Kumar Plaza

Kumar Plaza is the best resort ever in whole of Matheran. It is centrally located near to the market and other important points nearby to visit. Mr Dinesh Wadhwani, owneris a great host and a very humble guy. The food at the restaurant is one of the best ever I had on whole my life. The buffet options in breakfast, lunch and dinner are bang on and everyday there are different menus selected. Such is the place that I have been to this place atleast 10 times in my life previously. The staff is really courteous, helpful and very kind and cooperative. There are various activities happening like karoeke song, DJ, magic and fire show, housie, games etc that the guests never get bored during their stay. ||Would really recommend everyone to come and visit kumar plaza once.

The hotel was really good and comfortable for stay. Decent staff and excellent service. It is at affordable and reasonable prices, and suitable to go in festive seasons where great offers are provided by them. In other words, just go for it.

Wonderful Stay and Excellent Service!| Kumar Resort Matheran provided a fantastic experience. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff was incredibly attentive, and the food was delicious. Good food only part is to climb 3rd floor to eat is bit hectic after long walks ....need lift or make arrangements downstairs... Nothing to control ac temp.

Overall bad experience, poor service and support. Unhygienic rooms and toilets. Not very helpful. Instead of these, better rooms are available at a good rate and with good service. I will suggest considering other hotels instead of this one.

The hotel did not live up to its 3-star rating. We were a group of six friends. Two of us were assigned a couples room, while the rest stayed in a deluxe room for four. The deluxe room had broken glass upon entry, causing a minor injury to one of our friends. This incident highlighted the lack of proper cleaning standards. The good aspect of this hotel is its location. If you have a higher budget and expect better or luxury accommodation standards, I recommend choosing a different option.
