Residency Hotel Fort, Mumbai

It was like a home from home. The staff are so friendly and helpful. We particularly liked Gopal Peter and many other names too. Everyone was exceptional . As it said in the hotel come as a guest go as a friend.. The room was really nice with everything you could want and the breakfasts were excellent. The reception were happy to arrange transfers to and from the airport and the guest lounge where you could after checking out was fantastic. Tea and coffee were provided free of charge and it was a comfortable place to relax while waiting for a midnight transfer to the airport.

This hotel is a gem! The rooms are beautiful, and a peaceful reprieve from the hustle and bustle of Mumbai, but what really makes it is the Concierge Rajesh and the rest of his team. Every time I turned around, there was Rajesh, offering a smile and a bottle of (much-needed) water. He even got a taxi for me, and haggled the price down to 100 rupees on my behalf! I can't overstate his willingness to go above and beyond for the comfort of his guests. He's a true joy to chat with. I was a bit nervous about visiting Mumbai on my own as a woman, but the staff of the Residency Fort did such a great job looking out for me that I felt 100% safe. The hotel is also tops at arranging airport pickup, drop-off, and taxis. And the breakfast, especially the dosas, was delicious. I would 100% go back, and recommend it without reservation. The hotel location is a great jumping-off point for exploring the city. If there are any hotel owners receiving this, Rajesh and his team deserve a raise! :)

We had such a great experience in the hotel! The staff were very accommodating and friendly. Shout out to Kesar and Balu who made our stay extra memorable. It was so nice going to breakfast and chatting with them. They made us feel so welcomed and we completely trusted their recommendations and it definitely did not fail. ❤️

We had a great stay at Residency Hotel Fort in Mumbai. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm and helpful staff, who made the check-in process smooth and easy. The hotel’s service was exceptional, and the team was always ready to assist with any requests. The breakfast selection was quite diverse, offering both Indian and European options. The hotel itself is in very good condition. The rooms were very comfortable and clean, with no issues regarding the quality of the accommodation. The bathroom was well-maintained, and the hotel provided necessary hygiene kits, which I found thoughtful. Another highlight was the availability of hot water – something that isn't always guaranteed in India, but here it was reliable and consistent. Residency Hotel Fort is located in a prime area, just a 25-minute walk to the iconic Gateway of India, making it easy to explore the city. Overall, we had a great experience at this hotel, and I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Mumbai. Highly recommended!

We spent two nights at Residency Hotel in Mumbai and were warmly welcomed by Rajesh, the concierge, upon our arrival. He brought our luggage to the lobby and greeted us with chai and cake while we waited briefly, then accompanied us to our rooms. The breakfast and service were excellent, and we felt completely comfortable during our stay. The hotel is well-located as a starting point for exploring the city.||Rajesh even guided us to a nearby restaurant, and we would like to say thank you to him and the entire hotel team, who were very attentive, helpful, and friendly.

We stayed at The Residency when we first arrived in Mumbai and returned here on our way home again. This hotel is well located to the local train stations as well as the sights including Gateway of India and Colaba district. The rooms are comfortable with a decent shower. Breakfast buffet offers a good selection of Indian and Western options. The staff are very friendly and willing to assist where ever they can. I would suggest this hotel if you are looking for a place in the area.

Fabulous, cozy, and the service is out of this world! We never felt like we were staying in a budget hotel; everything is pristine, and the staff goes out of their way to take care of us. The overall decor and furnishing of the hotel are another high point; it has character. The complimentary breakfast is also fabulous. The rooms are small but well-maintained and worth the money by Mumbai standards. Definitely my go-to hotel if I'm back in South Mumbai! Currently, metro construction is happening right next to the entrance, which is the only downside. However, once completed, it will further improve accessibility!

We love the staff! They are very helpful and friendly. We arrived at 02.00 in the night and that was no problem at all. The room was big, tidy, and comfortable. If you're a light sleeper it may be handy to bring some ear plugs. The breakfast contains both Indian and European options. There's a cook who's ready to make omelettes, dosas and more. The waiters are happy to help you with anything you need The location of the hotel allows you to walk to various highlights of Mumbai. It is also possible to order a taxi (with which the hotel is happy to help). Due to construction work, if driving through the main Avenue, finding the hotel is not immediately clear. However, it's just around the corner in the side street, which cars can enter, too.
