I would highly recommend Royal Orchid hotel. My sister and I had an awesome experience staying in this hotel. From the welcoming breakfast staff to the receptionist and the room service staff, each one of them was super friendly, and did their best to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. One of the best highlights was the morning breakfast which we looked forward to each morning.I will definitely stay again on my next visit to Mumbai!

Overall the rooms were the standard of a 3 star hotel. Relatively low roof on entering the rooms, both of our rooms had a strong cigarette smell. Otherwise not much else wrong with it. Would be good to have power points on both bedsides. The staff aren't really professionally trained in customer service skills. They know how to be polite but there are certain skills in greeting and ending a conversation that are required and they lacked that skillset direly. The location was on a busy small street, but the entrance is a small lift in the rear of the hotel which is very strange. The front entrance is for the restaurant only. Quite a strange set up. The decor of the interior at least was decent.

I have been coming here for years as I lived nearby, so I thought of having a quick dinner on the 10th before taking an international flight. The waiter suggested mutton biriyani with raita, which I agreed. But to my utter dismay, I found the mutton biriyani very oily and could not eat it properly. I told this to the waiter also, but he was silent on this issue. I was in a hurry so didn't bring it to the notice of the managers and left an empty stomach from the restaurant, leaving more than 50% of the biriyani on the table. I was not only disappointed but felt very sad with one of my favorite restaurants in chembur.

The hotel is very cosy and cleaning. The operating staff are wonderful. You don’t need to talk or explain a lot. The housekeeping were very helpful and attentive everyday. The front desk on the otherside need more training. The restaurant serves amazing dishes.. Chinese and India cuisine.. Restaurant staff are very polite.|Area crowdy and very noisy. Be prepare for the cultural change and the tuk tuk…😳

However, the receptionists were incredibly accommodating and allowed us to relax in the reception area for at least 2 hours without any hassle. Their hospitality and kind behavior were truly commendable. I want to express my gratitude to the three girls at the reception for their sweet demeanor towards customers. Bless them all for making our short stay comfortable and welcoming."
