MTDC Shirdi Resort

Have been here multiple times. But now it has deteriorated beyond compare. Renovation in progress. Lift is not working. There is nobody to even help you;with luggage. Geyser is also not working. Very bad and poor service. Please check the place before visiting. WORD OF CAUTION: SHAFT DOORS ARE LEFT OPEN. PLEASE CHECK AND TAKE CARE OF KIDS. I think in the temple vicinity you have better places around. Except for NEEM Restaurant WHICH WAS GOOD EARLIER TOO AND NOW ALSO AT ITS BEST, NOTHING IS WORTH APPRECIATING

Nice stay. The staff is polite and supportive. Sai Baba temple is at a walkable distance. Plenty of parking space is also available. Rooms are very spacious. Enjoyed the stay.

Very near from Shirdi temple, also room size is very big, hot water is starting from 2 am to 11 am breakfast is also good parking area is also very big

Excellent location for Sai Baba Darshan purpose and very good property. The price is well competitive. However, there is a lot more to get done with respect to rooms, service and overall neatness and cleanliness. In other words good housekeeping is very much lacking. One has to go there keeping in mind these factors. Government properties are like that only, whether it is ST bus or hotel. People are but nice and well behaved, friendly and helpful.

We generally book the MTDC hotel for safety and location, and in the past decades of our visits it had usually been a good stay. We visited Shirdi in July 2024 and as usual we booked from website a week or so in advance. Upon arrival at Hotel, we were shocked to be told by Reception that the Hotel was under Renovation, all the decent rooms had been torn down and only dingy dark rooms were made available. There was/is NO warning on website that Hotel is under Renovation. MTDC let us down and being a Government enterprise this kind of attitude is shocking. We paid for a premium room but got a room looking like a storage room. The room we were forced to take was terrible, the AC leaked all the time and they simply placed a towel on the floor. Entire day they were using hammers and drills on the upper floor. We were cheated and such incident happening at MTDC is a wake up call that you can be de-frauded even in Government hotels. AVOID this Hotel for your own safety and peace of mind.

Extremely UNSAFE for women travelling alone. I along with my nephew boarded MTDC on 20th of November at around 8pm.. We both booked separate rooms online.. While we were checking in my nephew was asked a tons of questions related to me like from where I am , what I do... By that time the porter took me to show my room which was on the second floor and was at an extreme corner , where most of the rooms were getting reconstructed, everything around was sooo shady, the porter was very intrusive and he was literally scanning me from top to bottom which made me feel very uncomfortable and thats when I decided to change the room and called my nephew who was in his room on the first floor , he came upstairs and told me that the reception guy was asking too many questions about me, I went downstairs and told him that I didn’t liked the environment and want a different room , upon saying that he literally threw the keys of the new room while instructing the porter and said 'extra paisa lagega' .. I saw the new room which was not worth the money that they were charging, there was zero cleanliness and smell of moist.. so I finally had to switch to a different hotel ... my almost 6000 rupees got drained as I didn’t received any REFUND from MTDC... it was a HORRIBLE experience.. even my nephew had to shift to a different hotel because his room was completely UNCLEAN and MOISTY

Rooms at ground floor are better than 1st and 2nd floor. But staffs are good and helpful. But the main USP is location. Good place to stay with family. Restaurant is also nice.

Rooms are old and damp, typical govt guest house feeling. The place needs renovation all good as perfectly located.
