Hotel Samrat

Worst experience ever ... Doors were not working properly..hot water was not available because the geaser was not working ...rude behaviour of hotel staff.

Room are really costly. You can always get something better in less cost. Telephone in room are too old and you might face trouble reaching out to reception. Dirty bed and broken sofa, owner haven’t upgraded those since eternity. You should avoid this while visiting with family. Blankets are also dirty and small and you will face problem if your height is 6+

This is a budget hotel suggested to us by our taxi driver. But we were not quite happy with the room service. The hotel is located far away from the golden temple road. I guess that's a better area to stay especially for tourists because most of the important places, market and good restaurants are near the golden temple. Hotel samrat is far away from there, so we were stuck in traffic for quite a long time on the way to golden temple. Though the rooms were spacious, the bedsheets were dirty. Room service is bad. The hotel has its own menu but overpriced. The bathroom was stinking. My advise to fellow travellers is to avoid this hotel& search for better hotels closer to golden temple.

Hotel Samrat is just 5-7 minutes away from Amritsar Railway Station. It is on court road opp to GPO. Hotel is nice and clean. Staff is also helpful. Staff makes the food available in room. Vehicle for sightseeing is also available with the help of hotel manager. Fruits and food is also available near by. Main road side rooms are better option. No extra amenities available as it is budget hotel.

This hotel do care about cleanliness and hygiene so you should not worry about it. It also does not charge too much. Firstly, if you want to see Golden temple, Wagha border, and Jallianwala Bagh, you can see Jallianwala Bagh and Golden Temple at same time so you can leave the hotel in morning as its not far away from Samrat Hotel to Golden Temple. But for Wagha border you should have sufficient time.

Hotel Samrat is located just 10 min walk from railway station and on the main road to Golden temple. Rooms are nice and comfortable. Owner and staff is helpful. Room rate are also moderate. Food available. Not extra but normal cleaning of rooms. Rental cars available for site seeing.

Good Place to stay. In the middle of the city. Both Swarna Mandir as well as Railway station is easily commutable from this hotel. Best in class and value for money. Room Service was par from what i had expected. The owner of the property was friendly and co operative enough helping us out to visit various locations in and around the city. Staff memebers were best at their job. Do stay here if your purpose of stay is to visit in and around the city.

Lowest costing OYO would be much better than this place. This place had the oldest tech they could accommodate. If you're coming with family then definitely don't stay here, however if you're a backpacking kind of person then this might be something that you can look at as rates are negotiable. Parking available.
