Had the most incredible welcoming homestay. Fabulously friendly informative staff, mouthwatering food, great conversation around the dinner table. Could not recommend enough. The evening sundowner safari was so good we did it both evenings, a very special experience with the added bonus of spotting a leopard.

This is a magical place. Beautiful and relaxing. The family made us so welcome and it was lovely to spend time with them and fellow guests. ||The food is great and meals were eaten as a group. ||The rooms are beautiful and spacious with all the amenities you might need||We enjoyed the Jeep safari and saw a leopard and the train ride was also great. Haircut and reflexology also a success! ||Highly recommend a few days here

We had such a relaxing time at Dev Shree. The house, garden and pool area are beautiful. The view of the lake is idyllic and we loved watching all the birds there. The food is delicious, and sitting around the table with the family and other guests was fun and interesting. We went on some great trips; seeing a leopard at dusk was a highlight. We visited a local school, the town and went on a wonderful train journey. |But best of all was the welcome and care we received from all of the family and staff.

This is a non-hotel. Instead, you feel like a friend among friends since you live with the family, sharing meals and a precious time. Starting with the warmest welcome you can imagine and a service literally perfect at any moment. You may sit on the veranda watching birds on the lake at sunrise and enjoy conversation with the cultivated host family or other guests. Helpful personnel is at hand any time before you even think of needing something. On our trip to Rajasthan we stayed here for two nights. It was marvellous! We enjoyed a trip on a “toy train” through a beautiful mountain range, a most relaxing massage, a guided trip through the village and a Leopard safari to the desert at sunset.

Wonderful 3 night stay. This is basically a home stay as the family live in this beautiful ‘palace’. They were kind and welcoming and we so enjoyed having meals together and talking with the family and other guests - we certainly learnt a lot about Indian culture. Food and service were excellent. Our room was vast with the most comfortable bed we’ve ever slept in. Slept really well as it was so peaceful. Also really enjoyed the lovely swimming pool. Highly recommend for some peace and quiet in crazy India.

I stayed for two nights on my India trip and in short it was wonderful. The room was very good and all the staff really nice. Even though I was travelling alone I never felt alone at this place. Dining with other guests and the family made me feel that this was one big family dinner, lots of discussions, same goes for lunch. Even at breakfast there was someone with me. I really felt at home and for the first time at a hotel (I´ve stayed in many) I did not want to leave. |The sundowner was great and driving through the villages and countryside. Also the trainride. |Not forgetting the wonderful Ayurveda massage that everyone should have.|On the whole a wonderful experience and I can't praise this place to much.

Dev Shree is the most relaxing and welcoming of places to be.For value, quality and service excellence it was overall the best place we stayed during our 3 week vacation in India. We are kicking ourselves for only booking in for two nights. The palatial property has magnificent views of a lake across a green lawn perfect for afternoon teas. A swimming pool a dawned by palm trees was perfect for our picnic lunch.Our hosts, the family join guests for all meals of the day and sundowners in the evening. The home cooking is authentic Rajasthani food blended with a hint of the Colonial past which made meals really interesting. At breakfast I had an omelette soufflé ( something only served at the Ritz or Claridges in London) We were there during Diwali and were treated to a firework display that lasted 80 minutes! Yoga classes, spa treatments , cookery demonstrations, train rides, evening safari rides and much more left us spoilt for choice. The villagers were so very welcoming. Thank you Dev Shree family + staff you are the reason we will return to India!

I have just returned to Chile after spending 5 nights at Dev Shree. A most restful and wonderful experience. Set in beautiful sorroundings and hosted by a dear family.Excursions are available and evening drives and sunsets are not to be missed.|Local cuisine is served and the chefs produce magnificent meals .An idilic swimming pool is set in the garden overlooking Ragho Sagar lake and provides an opportunity to watch local migratory birds.|Walking distance from a charming village gives you a taste of rural Rajasthan.
