Killa Bhawan Lodge (KB Lodge)

Highly recommend KB lodge. Good for older foreign travellers. Vicky, the owner, is lovely - professional, relaxed, kind and attentive. Our room was clean, neat and warm (it was winter) with a good bed and linen. Food at the upstairs cafe was fantastic. Great view of Patwa Haveli just across the street. Quiet location, ready 10 min walk to the fort. We came for the nights and stayed five.

|This family run haveli hotel was simply amazing. We loved staying here in the simple but beautiful rooms, and were made extremely welcome by Vicky and his family. KB Lodge is in a great location just opposite Kothari's Patwon Ki Haveli. It's only a short walk from Jaisalmer Fort and it's great to explore the streets on the way. The views from the rooftop restaurant are very pleasant and we really enjoyed eating there. Vicky could not have been more helpful, explaining the best places in Jaisalmer to visit, and arranging a car for us to spend an afternoon out in the Thar desert to watch the sun set over the dunes. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. You will be given a wonderful welcome.

I’m not sure where to start with leaving a review for Killa Bhawan Lodge as everything was great. The rooms were clean and comfortable and had so many Indian fixtures and fittings it was more like staying in someone’s house.||||There is a rooftop and from there you get the best of all worlds. It is in an area where you can see everything going on and listen to the goings on but it is far enough that it makes a perfect space to relax and enjoy the views of the fort.||||The staff are great and checked everything was ok and were really pleasant. We had some great chats to Vicky the owner.||||There is a good choice for breakfast and in the hotel they bring water, tea and coffee at anytime and it is all included.||||The location of the hotel couldn’t be better. It is a short walk to the busy shopping area and the fort and a pleasant walk through the quiet streets around the hotel past the cows and impromptu cricket matches.||||If visiting Jaisalmer again I would have no hesitation in booking the Killa Bhawan Lodge again.

One of the highlights of my stay was dining on the hotel's rooftop terrace, which offered panoramic views of the fort and the city below. The food was delicious, and the ambiance was truly magical. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable experience in Jaisalmer. The combination of stunning views, comfortable accommodations

Khilla Bhavan Lodge is a great choice for a comfortable and affordable stay in Jaisalmer. My friend and I spent 4 nights in this well-located guesthouse that was about a 10 minutes walk from the Fort. Our room was comfortable and beautifully decorated with textiles and interesting, traditional objects. There was a window seat where we could sit and look down on all the interesting happenings on the street below. We had many of our meals at the lovely rooftop café where there were colourful fabric awnings to give shade. There is a great view of the Fort and town during the day and at night. The food was delicious, varied and well prepared, with both Indian and western offerings. The many young men on staff were polite, respectful and helpful. Vicky, the manager is attentive and personable. He took good care of us by making recommendations and organizing some of our tours. We really enjoyed our conversations with him and appreciated him taking us on a little walking tour to see another property managed by their family. I would highly recommend staying here.

5 star for KB Lodge, Vicky (the owner) and his staff! We spent 2 nights at KB lodge and we had a great time. This small guest house/hotel is managed by Vicky who is a great host. He was very helpful and friendly and he suggested us what to do in Jaisalmer. KB lodge is an old Rajasthani house/haveli with The rooms are very nice and clean, with beautiful furniture and very comfortable beds! Hot water is always available. It is also pretty quiet during the night so you can sleep well. KB lodge has a beautiful terrace where they serve breakfast (very good and fresh). Menu is 100% vegetarian. We also had dinner, we ordered Thali and it was very very good!! Enjoy this place! Thank you Vicky!

In 6 weeks in India, this was the best hotel where we stayed. The rooms are simply beautiful and impeccably clean. The rooftop restaurant and terrace are gorgeous and great places to enjoy the view or read. Food at the restaurant was lovely, no complaints at all. Free coffee and water all day. However, this was still topped by the service and hospitality we experienced. Vicky, the owner, went out of his way to make our stay in Jaisalmer as good as possible. He organized a tour guide, tuktuks and a desert safari for us, but we never felt pressured the slightest bit. Highly recommend their sleeping under the stars desert experience. That was a strong contender for our best night in India. Thank you Vicky, you're an amazing host.

We came for a dinner to KB Lodge during our stay in Killa Bhawan hotel inside the fort. This was the best local food we had during our 3 days in Jaisalmer! Almost regretting not eating there every meal 😁 Fantastic views from the terrace directly to the Patwon Ki Haveli, very kind owner and perfect service.
