1st gate home-fusion

My wife and I spent two nights at 1st gate Jaisalmer during our two-week tour of India's Gujurat and Rajasthan States. We stayed at several splendid places but 1st gate Jaisalmer was easily our favourite. Our first-floor bedroom was beautifully furnished and very spacious, with all the usual amenities and, very appreciably, unlimited amounts of bottled mineral water at our free disposal. The hotel was small enough to give it a feeling of family charm but, make no mistake, it was as luxurious as any of the big-city palaces where we stayed. The rooftop restaurant gives a direct view onto the city ramparts and the downstairs breakfast room is cosy and intimate. The staff are unfailingly friendly and courteous and made us feel like we were part of the family, tending to all our needs, night and day. This is probably the nicest hotel we have EVER stayed in.

We loved everything about this hotel. It was hands down the best service, room and facilities we’ve had access to on our 3 weeks in India so far. It was slightly above our daily budget (we are on a long trip), but it was SO worth it. The staff are incredible, they couldn’t have been more kind and friendly to us. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome. And the pet dogs are so sweet and cute! The food is absolutely delicious, especially the breakfasts! And there’s complimentary tea, coffee, water, juice, cake etc throughout the day- we did not go hungry! The rooms are immaculate and beautifully designed. Thank you to the hotel, we’ll be back!

We had an amazing stay at 1st Gate Home Fusion. The rooms were so spacious and unique. We got massages while we were there and they were also incredible. We were welcomed to the hotel as though we were family. The highest level of hospitality I have ever received. We came back and ate at the rooftop restaurant and the pasta was excellent. All around amazing place to be in jaisalmer ☺️

Are you in Jaisalmer and looking for some Italian cuisine? Then definitely give this restaurant a try! Our tip: skip the pasta and go straight for the pizza. The "Jaisalmer Special" and the "Pineapple" are highly recommended - tested and approved! By the way: The restaurant is actually part of a hotel, but we can't say anything about that. The restaurant itself is on the roof and has a great atmosphere!

Probably the BEST MEAL I had in my entire trip in India. After 3 weeks, we visited Jaisalmer and ended up here thanks to the Lonely Planet advice. We ordered Indian dishes and both were truly DELICIOUS 😋! The view was also breathtaking. Highly recommend! Raj was super helpful and nice !

Totally excellent experience all round. Charming and welcoming staff, stylish accommodations and great roof top restaurant. Located just outside the main entrance to the fort with windows and roof terrace looking on to the fort. Would definitely return.

Such a perfect place here! After visiting another hotel with similar range of price in Jaisalmer, this one is incomparable. One of the best place where we were in Rajastan. Our room was so well designed, comfortable and so many small attentions were given (flowers, etc.). A light & soft perfume is diffused in all the hotel. The staff was so attentive during all our stay here (rain ? Umbrella, cough ? Ginger tea, train ? Sandwich). We felt like at home. Cherry on the cake, the hotel is very close of the Fort and offer probably one of the best view on it; you can reach the Museum & beautiful old streets in less than 10 minutes by walking. Thank you so much My only regret is to not stay more than one night!

Your go to place in Jaisalmer :) The service is extraordinary and the location with superb views of the Fort is perfect. The food we had was delicious and we felt so comfortable during our stay. They provide free Chai and water all day long and take care of you like you are family.
