Very Bad Service. Staff behaviour also bad. Everyone are cheaters in this hotel. They are explaining some other packages for the desert safari and at the end they are given very cheaper kind of tents and all,

TLDR: To any tourist I would avoid these people. Especially Chandra and Hanif. Hanif scammed us of 1000 rupees and Chandra blamed it on Hanif's personal issues and feigned that he would pay us back for a week before entirely ignoring us. Chandra will act very friendly as long as he can squeeze every penny out of you. We met Chandra at the train station. He actually got on the train and started talking to us whilst we were packing our belongings. Initially he offered us a tuk tuk but then convinced us to take a room in his hotel at Hotel Apollo. At Hotel Apollo, we met his staff Hanif who offered to book our bus ticket. He charged is 500 per ticket despite the ticket being 370 on redbus. We were ok to pay the extra as he was booking the ticket for us. Chandra convinced us again to take a tour with his Desert Discovery company. The tour was fine and the driver Meg was great! When we returned we stayed at Hotel Sandalwood (Chandra's hotel) and Hanif approached us he lied to us and told us the seated tickets were sold out and we had to pay 600 more for bed seats plus a 100 rupee booking fee for him that he didn't mention when we first booked. When we got on the bus to leave the driver told us that they were not bed seats but seated seats. Hanif had lied about this. When we messaged Chandra about it he put the blame on Hanif's personal issues and accepted no responsibility despite him being a member of his staff. Only when I threatened to leave a negative review did Chandra say he would get his friend to pay us back in Pushkar. As he promised to pay us the money through his friend we agreed to stay at his friend's hotel. Whilst we were in Pushkar Chandra then decided to completely ignore us and we haven't heard from him since. His friend said as Chandra hadn't sent him the money he couldn't pay us which was completely understandable in his part. On the whole, I would avoid Hotel Apollo, Desert Discovery and Hotel Sandalwood. Chandra will act like your best friend but he only wants to squeeze every penny out of you.

Wouldn’t even rate this hotel 1 star. not very good air-conditioning considering it was 45° outside, no Wi-Fi, not many sockets for charging. Towels were not provided or toilet paper

Room and location is awesome. Very good maintained. I have only one disappointment with this tour is that they offered me some desert package with high price and at last moment they changed the venue and ask for more money. please don't buy the any kind of desert package from hotel management. They will ruined your holiday for sure. Better to book tents or camp online with much good deal.

It is a budget hotel and its location is close to both Gadisar Lake and Jaisalmer Fort (both are at walking distance). Even the railway station is not that far. I however did not like the surroundings. The rooms are clean and decent in size and the bathrooms are clean as well. Our package included breakfast but we were surprised to know that very limited items were provided for breakfast which I thought was a letdown. However, whatever was served was good in taste. We did not have either lunch or dinner at the hotel so will not comment on it. Like many hotels in Jaisalmer, this one also has a roof top restaurant from where you have majestic views of the glowing fort both during day and night. It’s a good photo-op kind of a place.||||The staff is well behaved and courteous. Over all a good place to spend a couple of nights with family.
