HOTEL MEHERANGHAR

We had nothing planned when arriving in Jaisalmer and met Lucky at the train station. He offered to drive us for free close to his histel and we agreed we woukd check the hostels next to his to compare the prices. We finally stayed in his hostel, big, clean, cheap rooms compared to the other hostel. All the team was very friendly, free chai and water given when we arrived.|For the camel safari, same thing, wa agreed we would go check several places before deciding and they had no problem with that. At the end we went with them and everything went as they told us. Besides, the camel man Alibaba was really good.|During our stay, Lucky and Yigi the managers took us several time by bike for free to different places in Jaisalmer.|To summarize, cheap prices, food service and amazing staff

So I visited Jaisalmer in Jan 2018 and we were looking for cheap and decent hotel near to the jaisalmer fort. As, we were new to the place and was never visited jaisalmer hence after small research we booked this hotel via MMT. This same hotel was also available via Booking.com and Goibibo. But we opted for MMT as they were offererin cheapest price for the hotel. After we reached the hotel and found we have been given room which was dark, not clean even though we reached in the evening and check in was in the afternoon. When we checked with the owner he was very arrogantly said I'm not earning much from your booking and hence there is nothing he can do. To our surprise, there was another family who booked hotel via Booking.com and they were offered decent, well ventilated room. There was no water in the washroom when we entered in the evening and also in the morning when we decided to move to a different hotel. On checking out with hotel owner he threatened us and said do whatever you want to do. There was also no electricity, it was one of the terrible experiences we had ever witnessed. I request everyone to avoid this place at any cost.

We got tricked by the owner. He picked us up from the train station, and we asked to be let off downtown. Next thing you know, we are at his hotel, asking us to take a look. The rooms were clean, comfortable and the price wasn’t bad (300 rupees), so we took it. |The were quite pushy about us coming up for a chai, while they checked us in, which took a while. I got lemon ginger tea, and it was undrinkable. |They were relentless about us going on a camel safari. We just don’t have the interest, especially at the price we were quoted (1 night 2 days, 2200 rupees per person - twice as high as others). |One room was ready, one wasn’t, and it took a couple of hours for the second to become free, but even when they said it was free, the bathroom wasn’t clean and the floor wasn’t swept. They then kept putting off the extra work, which delayed us going to eat. The cleaning man was also quite pushy, to the point of pushing his way into our room, and knocking and entering at the same time, which was extremely uncomfortable. He also smelled of alcohol the first night. |We ended up staying two nights, and were told the morning of our third day, after being pressed for a safari again (at a lower price, which we still declined) we were told that we need to leave due to a large group coming the following day. We were not told about this, and we said when we checked in that we intended to stay at least a few days. |When we started to complain, they became quite aggressive. Another couple were walking by and we started telling them what they were doing to us, they then started getting upset and saying we could stay after all. |After that, we packed our bags and left. |They only cared about money, and when they realized they weren’t taking us into the desert, we were nothing to them.

We booked very early for our new year trip.I had traveled with my brother.We were given an average room and not so neat that we had to ask to get it cleaned.Then the hotel owner asked to pay for the desert safari.we were charged about 14K INR and were taken to the worst tent .I cant even say it a tent.The tents were torn and unclean . The restroom can't even describe. Anybody could just enter inside bccause it was located in an unsafe place.So we went back to our hotel rooms as he couldnot give us a proper tent and did not do any desert activity .But the owner did not return any penny and treated us very very very badly indeed.Spoiled my new year day. Did not even know how to treat or talk to a girl. So pathetic. He cancelled my booking in booking.com even after my check- in to avoid me writing review.Please avoid this hotel specially if you are going with family.All I experienced is losing the money I had saved for my new year plan.

The hotel is located near to the fort.||We have opted 2 Non AC Budget rooms as we have to spend a night only. Rooms are average but good as budget accommodation.||We needed to often catch the hotel staff for water supply in wash rooms, although they promptly act.||Owner was friendly.||We had only breakfast and was good.||Overall good as budget. Go for mid range, if you expect more

Hotel Maheranghar comfortable and Budget hotel. Good view & all kind of facility available at hotel Meherangarh. Luckyheera beautiful person who is Owner of this hotel, he arrange Jaisalmer local sights scene tour & paragliding , camel safari, Jeep Safari and Desert Camping.ect ect. They pickup and drop visitor from Jaisalmer station free of cost with warm regards.

We came to Jaisalmer for 2 days trip with our friends..one of their guys came to our train seat and told us 300 rupees room..we went for it. and after half an hour while we were freshening up...there so call owner30-year man started showing their package..and we didn't agree to..because we wanted to explore it by ourselves...but initially, he started requesting to take their package, but after few minutes he started dominating and forcing...his body language changed..as a tourist we got scared... Somehow we escaped that place.... Agar wo thoda air late karta ham police ko call krne wake the.... a horrific experience..I must say

It was a great experience in Jaisalmer. Clean room with car provided for desert safari and camel safari which was awesome. They provided tent in the desert area where we enjoyed the night show and dinner that was awesome.
