Fort Villa

We had an amazing time at Fort Villa - myself, my son (10), and another family of four. We stayed in three rooms in this amazingly beautiful haveli right near the Jain temples in the Fort. Manish was supremely helpful from the very beginning - months ahead of our stay! He helped us choose the right rooms, arranged a taxi to pick us up and drop us off in Jodhpur (and made the 5-hour drive himself both ways to accompany us and make sure we were happy!) because the airstrip in Jaisalmer was closed, and arranged a camel safari through the desert and an outdoor dinner under the stars at a lovely desert camp. It was an experience never to be forgotten. We look forward to visiting again!

Our stay at Fort Villa far exceeded our expectations. It is the perfect location within the Fort itself. Manish and Deepak couldn’t do enough for us and made my birthday truly memorable by even bringing a birthday cake to the sand dunes for me to cut at sunset. Breakfast was excellent and the whole property was beautifully decorated with many intricate touches which added to the overall experience. Definitely the best property we’ve stayed in during our 6 week journey through India.

The stay in Fort Villa was amazing. From my point of view there are no wishes open.|The place itself is beautiful in every small detail. Manish and Deepak gave me a heartwarming welcome by saying: "This is your home." And that's what I felt during my stay. It was a time to enjoy my privacy and relax while watching the breathtaking sunset from the rooftop. |I highly recommend Fort Villa if you are looking for a private and clean place to breathe after exploring the hectic streets of India.

My visit at Fort Villa has been extremely comfortable and safe. I was a solo female traveler and I always felt at ease. The owner and staff were extremely helpful and an absolute pleasure to talk to. They make you feel very welcome in their home. The rooms are very clean and are furnished artistically. Staying here made my trip to Jaisalmer, extra special.

Fort Villa is what best defines Indian hospitality.||The welcome is warm, you feel at home, and the whole hotel operates on the basis of trust. ||Everything flows smoothly, and if you're lucky enough to spend your birthday here, you'll be delighted to blow out the candles on your cake and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere on the hotel rooftop. ||A hidden gem in the fortress of Jaisalmer, an experience on the edge of Rajhastan.

Fort Villa made our stay in Jaisalmer really special. The place is beautiful, clean and newly renovated. It's right in the fort and has a great view. But most special was how they treated us: from beginning to end we could always reach out. They helped us have a great experience in the desert. They helped us get from and to the train in the middle of the night. And they even helped us finding an open ATM on Sunday.

This hotel is truly a cut above any I’ve stayed at in India. The building is beautiful with a truly Boutique feel, carved out of yellow sandstone complemented with soft lighting. We found the room to be really special with hand painted ceilings and an amazing balcony with astonishing position atop the castle battlements. The service was very professional, with advice / recommendations being handed out objectively. Could not recommend more highly.

Had a pleasant 2 day stay at Fort Villa. Manish and his staff were a delight and extremely welcoming and friendly. The rooftop is the best place to start your day with yoga, the sunrise and a delicious breakfast and to finish your day with the sunset. Will definitely come again if I had another getaway to Jaiselmer.
