Hotel Shikhar(An RTDC Initiative)

Had booked super AC room and still nothing was satisfactory..... Not clean at all.... Rusted and very tight locks of rooms and washrooms.... Fridge also didn't work.... Staff is not customer oriented and didn't even pay heed to requests...when asked to clean the table for eating dinner the person told to go outside and sit in the lounge n eat......fan didn't have a regulator to ctrl the speed... Food was decent but oily side dishes... Extra mattresses were also dirty and torn... Electricity got cut by morning so also didn't get hot water.... There is completely zero room service available.... No food delivery.... And lights are also minimal inside room among which 2 or 3 only hv connection... Mirrors were also broken and dirty..... The dustbins also didn't hv covers.... The exhaust fan was also not in working condition....no jet pipe as well....when complained abt such issues the staff didn't even hear or reply anything but still demanded money blindly....Overall the experience was 1/10 wouldn't recommend it.... Not worth the money payed at all.

Hotel is very poorly maintain I can say it not at all maintain. Their is no painting even walls. I booked their super AC room for which they charged rs.3300 but after seeing room I regret my decision of advance booking.. I will upload video and photo of hotel as well as room so it will be help others. Ther is no watchman, no TV in room, they provide window AC only which not in good condition.

The rooms are big with a lot of furniture. The place could have been converted to a resort, but is not well maintained. The bar is shabby; but glad it had one. The service was good. The staff co-operated and even served our dinner to our room which was isolated from the main building. ||As usual a bunch of uneducated Gujjus came and played loud music in the hotel. But this is something the hotel staff cannot do anything about. The Gujjus are a bunch of selfish people who want their money's worth at any cost.

Most food items on the menu were not available and the food delivery apps don't deliver to this location. They don't serve food in rooms, and neither does any food delivery app deliver to the location. So, you are going to get stuck with whatever is available from the menu on that particular day. Although the staff was courteous, the rooms were old; rather the entire hotel is old, and a part of it was in a dilapidated condition while we visited. And it is also not located nearby the major attractions. I would avoid it even if you are a government servant and getting a hefty discount. Side step this totally.

Never visit this hotel. I booked this hotel as I stayed earlier in multiple Govt hotels maintained by karnataka (KSTDC) and Tamil Nadu Govt (TTDC). This doesn't stand to even comparison with them. This is just not maintained and gives a feel of a unmaintained property with shabby rooms, dirty bathrooms, dust of furniture in rooms, horrible experience after staying in so many govt properties in the south India. RTDC should wake up and learn from TTDC and KSTDC.

A very fascinating place to stay at Mount Abu. Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation is running this hotel. Now, some renovation work is going on at some portion of this hotel, but the rest is very much comfortable for staying of travellers. The behaviour of all the staff including Manager are impeccable. Typical Rajasthani hospitality of "Guests first" is being practiced here. The food is exotic and customizable. On the whole, Hotel Shikar is the pleasant stay at Mount Abu, within budget.

The location of the hotel is the awesome and prime location. Room is available with special offer. Room is well up to date clean and full peacefully. Hotel staff are helpful, nice and well cultured. Especially in this hotel cottage is available. Cottage location up to the hotel. Cottage room view and environment awesome.

RTDC Shikhar is not at all a good place to stay for a long time, of course for it's miserable conditions. Poor conditions of the floors and the rooms make it horrible further. However, it is okay for a one night stay as one can adjust a little and stay like us. For a long term trip, it's highly unrecommended. However, the location is good, rooms are spacious, bathrooms are fairly clean, food was good. Deserves 2 stars(overall).
