NillWe had a fantastic stay here, the owners are very friendly and hospitable, room was large, clean and comfortable, loved the painting and the hanging chair too. The hotel is in a great location with amazing view of the lake and mountains. Several services and facilities offered here. The roof top restaurant had great food and drinks (esp the coffee shakes with ice cream!) and we went there daily. Meena (owner) gave us maps and advice about Pushkar, what to see and helpful tips. A wonderful stay!

NillGreat ambience with traditional Rajasthani setting in the rooms. It was very beautiful. At walking distance from Brahmaji mandir. Cherry on the cake was the view of the Pushkar lake from the veranda. To top it all, it is located right on the ghat itself!!!

NillWhen I booked Bharatpur palace hotel for Rs 5,900 and two double rooms with a private bathroom, they asked for my card details. Later the cost was deducted from my account BUT the booking was shown for two double rooms with shared bathroom. When called the person who would not identify himself claimed that the mistake was mine but that he would rebook two double rooms with two private bathrooms at the same cost. However, he has not notified me of any change and the site still shows it as shared bathrooms. When I called he said that I was illiterate and " anpadh" and that he too would lodge an FIR against me if I raised a complaint. Is this the fabled hospitality of Rajasthan? Is this the way to tragedy a customer. Till this moment there is no change in the booking! Still showing shared bathroom

NillI really cannot recommend this place enough. One of the best places I stayed in India. The location is perfect. Right on the lakeside, with an incredible view of the lake and ghats. Just a minute into the market. Forget about the public toilet entrance reviews..... This is a side entrance which is not used! (Unless you want to of course). The rooms are spotless , comfortable and have amazing views. Hot, good showers. Clean beds. This place provided a real calm safe haven and it was genuinely nice to relax here and watch the busy world of pushkar from the side. Meena was extremely helpful and friendly. I needed to visit the local hospital for rabies vaccinations (following a dog bite in ladakh) and she arranged for one of her stuff to take me to the hospital, to help me through the whole medical process, and to bring me back again. Thank you!!! She also brought me medicine on a later occasion when I was feeling unwell. The cooking class was great. I came home with a clear knowledge of how to make 3 delicious meals. Also, the rooms are very reasonably priced. This was my second time staying in Bharatpur Palace, and if I come again I will always stay here. Thank you Meena and your team!

★★★★★Lovely place to stay.. at least in winter. The large terrace with sunshine the whole day is so so welcoming.. wonderful to sit and read or just gaze at the lake and the ghats of Pushkar. The view is a glorious 360 deg of the lake.||The rooms and the linen is clean, large and comfortable. I had relaxed wonderful stay. Thank you. ||

★★★Family run hotel. Meena was very informative, friendly and accommodating. In front of the hotel are public toilets so don’t breathe in as you approach. the hotel. Nice outside relaxing areas to read a book or do yoga. Rooms are spacious but need to have a good clean. Value for money.

★★We stayed for 2 nights. My husband liked it more than I; but, I admit, I would never go camping and he has, so I hope this information helps give a balanced review based on my comfort level. |The location is excellent; views of the water as you enjoy (tasty nutella pancakes) breakfast.|The owners are very kind-Meena is a really lovely women with a good heart. ||But....the entrance to this guest stay is disgusting. I almost vomited one morning as we exited the hotel. The path, made of a mud/sand mixture shares its space with the most assaulting olfactory attack imaginable; a 4 or 5 person horrific open public urinal area. We had to walk so carefully not to step on wee or whatever and I dreaded entering or exiting the accommodation. I would have never ever stayed here had I read this in reviews but I see that almost everyone has chosen to omit this fact and, I assure you, it IS a big deal. The stench of human waste is unacceptable and remember, taxi's can't navigate the small lanes so either a rickshaw gets you close or you carry your cases, but you will have to navigate mud (you hope that's all it is) on the "pathway".|Our room was very basic. Sheets were clean, but stained. Pillow was flat as a pancake and very old. Shower water went from hot to scaling in seconds so having a shower was very tricky. |I just wanted to give a balanced review. Clearly, people love this place so maybe it's just me. I could not stay here again. Simply due to the entrance which you could smell well before you approached and the lack of a comfortable room.

NillMeena and her brother (owners) are very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are big and clean (maybe you could pay extra attention to provide guests with clean sheets). The hotel is in the central location, has great terrace which offers nice views (ghat). I gave lower mark for location because the common rooms aren’t clean enough and in order to get into the hotel you need to pass by a public toilet (the smell is just…).
