Hotel Mandiram Palace

By European standards this hotel would be classified as a hostel. It is located in the busy old town with some good views of the nearby Lake Pichola from its upper floors and rooftop as do many of the hotels and restaurants in the neighbourhood. This hotel is no frills and I believe the ‘palace’ is very misleading as a palace it is not. The staff are polite and accommodating, the breakfast served on the rooftop, is satisfactory. As with so many hotels we have visited during our months in India, cleanliness is of issue and the eye for detail lacking. Overall our stay was satisfactory.

The hotel has an excellent location within walking distance to great restaurants as well as historical sites like palaces, temples and museums. The staff and owner are very friendly and helpful, always willing to assist or provide recommendations on good restaurants or nearby attractions. Highly recommended!

The hotel owner is incredibly kind and welcoming. The room is relatively small but very affordable given the location. Highly recommended!

Very nice and cozy place yo stay in. Rooms were very clean and tidy and location and view was amazing. Great experience overall. Must visit.

It is a very good hotel in old city and very clean and they provide very good service . maximum side seen point are walking distance from hotel. I would like to stay again
