The Fern Residency Udaipur

I recently stayed at The Fern Udaipur , and my experience was a blend of positives and negatives Positives One of the standout features of this hotel is its cost efficiency. The rates are very reasonable, especially considering the amenities offered. Additionally, the staff were incredibly kind and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. I also appreciated that there was no extra charge for an additional bed, which made it convenient. Negatives However, my stay was marred by some significant issues. The hotel experienced frequent power cuts, which, although temporarily resolved by a generator, disrupted comfort and reset all electronic devices. Furthermore, the cleanliness of the room was lacking; old blankets were provided instead of fresh ones, raising concerns about hygiene. Lastly, while the strictly vegetarian menu is appealing to some, I found the food to be average and lacking in variety. The location was aslo in a shady place

Good place to stay. Nothing fancy but staff was cordial and helpful esp. Yashpreet, Vidhi and Tina.. situate inside the city and easily accessible. The food quality needs to improve though. Room service is good. Cleanliness needs to be taken a little more seriously.

We hosted a wedding here and the arrangements were amazing. We loved how they handled our intimate destination wedding of 50 people. The staff is very cooperative and courteous. Food is amazing. Kitchen is 100% vegetarian with egg counters at breakfast. We chose their live counters for Chaats and it was a super hit with all our guests. Menu is lavish and has a lot of variety.

I stayed at the Fern Residency, Udaipur for 3 nights. Everything from the room and food was good. But, I had a disturbing experience here narrated below: I asked for a blanket for my driver. They just delayed the same and was also harassed at night for a simple request of providing a blanket. He was asked to submit his ID proof, which he didn't have and in return he proposed to submit his keys also. But the hotel management was arrogant in their behaviour and did not provided the blanket in this much cold. After requesting alot and after fighting with the hotel management, they provided the blanket. Anyone staying here is spending an average of Rs.10,000 in this hotel and still they can't provide a blanket. It was a very bad experience.

We have stayed in the property for 3 days. The staff is very cooperative and friendly. They take care of our small kid with patience and warmth. Food is bit spicy some days. The resturant is veg + egg only, no non veg options apart from egg. Rooms are neat and clean.

If you want a dreamy place to stay in Udaipur, The Fern Residency is perfect! The rooms are super comfy, and the hotel is close to famous places like City Palace and Lake Pichola. It's great for a vacation or business trip. The friendly staff makes you feel special, and everything is neat and clean. The historical wonders nearby make it the best wedding spot in Udaipur too. You'll love the mix of world-class hospitality and beautiful city charm. Staying here is like living in a fairy tale!

Just before check in, we saw one google review saying they had to order every basic thing from reception. We thought that might be one mistake. But we had the same experience. We had to call for every basic thing. Rooms were very small, hardly to accommodate the luggage of two people. Bedsheets were not changed, toilet was unclean. Towels provided were very old and on the name of environmental friendly products, they are providing very low quality cheap products. The breakfast had many variety of items, but for two consecutive days they had the same menu and the food felt stale. Overall very bad experience.

I would like to take a moment to share my feedback regarding my recent stay. I had a delightful experience overall, particularly with the restaurant services. Supriyo, Yashpreet, and Roshani were exceptional, providing outstanding service and creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Their attention to detail and professionalism truly enhanced our dining experience. However, I would like to mention one concern regarding housekeeping. On one occasion, the staff entered our room without prior notice or permission for cleaning. We were not informed beforehand, which was unexpected and disrupted our privacy. It would be appreciated if the staff could always seek permission or notify guests before entering rooms for cleaning. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and I appreciate the hospitality provided by your team.
