The Sierra - By The Lake

Sierra by the Lake is a mixed bag of experiences. While the property boasts beautifully designed rooms, an accessible location, and a vibrant rooftop restaurant, there are areas where the service could be improved. On the positive side, the rooms are tastefully decorated and comfortable, and the rooftop restaurant is a definite highlight. The ambiance and quality of food add to the charm, making it a great spot to unwind, especially on weekends. However, certain aspects of the experience fell short. The check-in process was chaotic due to a large wedding party staying at the property, leading to some confusion. Room service also left much to be desired—there were no towels in the room upon check-in, and even after the room was cleaned on the second day, towels were still missing. At one point, the water supply in the bathroom ran out, though this issue was resolved quickly. Given that the property charges in the range of Rs 8,000 per night for the balcony room, the overall experience needs to be more polished to justify the price. Attention to detail and smoother service would greatly enhance guest satisfaction. It’s worth noting that the rooftop restaurant plays music until 1 AM on weekends. While I didn’t find this disruptive, those seeking a quieter stay may want to consider this before booking. In summary, Sierra by the Lake has a lot of potential, but some service-related refinements are needed to make it a truly premium experience.

I have never seen such beautiful rooms ever it was aesthetic and picture perfect. We had booked Premium Suite with balcony. Staff was helpful and cooperative..Only downside was Place is little off the road and not close to main attractions in Udaipur. As we had our first 2 days stay in Hotels near City palace area we felt that this area was little on the outskirts. And the vibe of the city was not there. But still was manageable. And it is definitely not by the lake.

Very clean rooms and great ambiance. Location is bit inside from the main road. Complimentary breakfast is good Enough parking space and a very good atmosphere in the hotel. And SAMINA guided us with whatever help we required. It was a pleasant stay.

Place is bit off-road and location is into Residential colony.. difficult to locate at first instance. Other wise staff, rooms, service and food is adorable. Good value for Money. But actually roof top restaurant is worth relaxing go for.

DO NOT RECOMMEND - The place itself was clean and rooms spacious, yet rough round the edges; however there is no sound proofing and there is music on the rooftop bar booming until 1.30am… ear plugs did nothing and there was bass vibrating my room until 3am, which apparently came from next door as I was repeatedly told when I called reception that the music had stopped - as if I was going mad?! Not the relaxing weekend I hoped, so don’t stay unless you wish to party. The hot water lasts about 30 seconds before stopping and the breakfast staff have no concept of food safety. If you have an allergy, you are at serious risk eating here.

I had a great time at The Sierra By The Lake. Great rooms, great interiors and most importantly great service!! Samina was very friendly and warm. She helped us a lot during our stay. The service provided was excellent and incredibly professional.

**Disappointing Experience - Not as Advertised** I was really disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The reviews online made it seem like a 5-star experience, but that was far from the reality. Right from check-in, the reception staff were unfriendly and unprofessional, which was not a great start. When I got to my room, I noticed a strong, unpleasant smell. It seemed like the room had just been mopped, but no effort was made to freshen up the space. Unfortunately, this made the room feel quite uncomfortable. Although I contacted the reception several times but they refused to change the room, which was rude and frustrating. I have attached some photos of the room and bathroom to give a clearer picture of what I experienced. I wouldn’t recommend staying here based on my visit.

Soul's climate was amazing vibe was nice !! Staff was very polite and respectful specially Mr. laxman .||Amazing views with Amazing Food. That is the perfect word for this cafe. Love the ambiance. Love the vibes. I had first time ever visited a cafe like this. Worth the price. 👍🏻
