The Sierra - By The Lake

I just visited Seirra for the very first time and I must say, everything was amazing, the vibe, the food, the rooms, the services... Not just me, my little one was so happy over there.. I was highly impressed with its clean and comfortable rooms and additional facilities, the cultural experience, all the staff members left us with many stories and great memories. Overall, We had a fantastic experience with luxurious amenities, lip-smacking food, attentive staff, impeccable services, and excellent room views. Thank you so much.. I highly recommend this!!!

We had booked a room with balcony but got upgraded to premium one. Very nice place for stay. Alof from traffic easily accessible. Rooms are big neat and tidy. Clean washroom. Bed linen was clean, very artistic layout of room. Will recommend everyone

Absolutely loved the stay at The Sierra! Everything about it was perfect and the staff is so cooperative and friendly. Kudos to them for making the stay comfortable & super fun! The events at their rooftop cafe “Soul” are one of the most enjoyable things to attend & there are security guards making sure there’s no fuss! Great food and vibes too, a must visit! Would 100% stay here for every trip to Udaipur! 🥂

Based on reviews, we booked this hotel for our stay at Udaipur from 16-18 July,2025. The hotel is located in a quiet residential area. The name of the hotel is grossly deceptive & there is no lake by its side!! The Lake, could be viewed from the restaurant located on the Terrace. But, the Restaurant is awful, puky,chaotic & poorly maintained. So, surely not an option to view the lake from the hotel’s terrace. The Rooms provided to us were spacious & well appointed. The bathrooms are spacious too but are stinking due to lack of ventilation & poor drainage system in the washbasin. There is no exhaust fan in the bathrooms & a ceiling fan in there keeps circulating the stale air. All of us who stayed there fell sick due to food poisoning from an outside restaurant in Udaipur and needed some assistance from this hotel’s kitchen. We were amused to know that the kitchen does not have Fenugreek seeds/ Methi daana that we needed as a quick remedy. Instead, the chef sent us Kasuri methi! We requested for some soft Cooked Plain rice and we were served Basmati rice cooked in a microwave which were like ‘Nails’ If anyone is opting for Complimentary Breakfast… beware u’ll get it only after 8:30 or 9 am (as the staff is terribly disorganised)unlike other hotels which serve from 7 or 7:30 am. Our experience at Sierra by the Lake was miserable. The only stars of this hotel are the House Keeping staff who were caring & considerate.

Just got back from Sierra Udaipur and honestly, what a lovely stay! The property is beautiful, super peaceful, and the rooms were clean and comfy. But what really made the experience special was Sabina at the reception — she was SO helpful and kind throughout. From check-in to helping us out with local tips, she genuinely made things smoother for us. Felt really well taken care of. Definitely coming back next time I’m in Udaipur!

I had a wonderful experience during my stay at this hotel! The hospitality was top-notch—Mr. Kamlesh went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. His professionalism and friendly nature truly made us feel at home. A special mention to Mr. Anand for the stunning decorations! The attention to detail in the decor added a special charm to the entire atmosphere, making our stay even more memorable as it was my Wife's bday. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great service and a beautiful ambiance. Looking forward to visiting again

So here is the complete review of my experience is what i liked about the place.. 1.Room was aesthetically beautiful with a well cleaned bathroom beautifully made up. 2.the rooftop area and lobby was the highlight of this hotel.we visited this place on weekend and there were live performances and a cheerful environment there what i did not like... 1. No soundproofing was there...loud music noise was at times irritating. 2. Food was overpriced i think. 3.I would have loved if manager was little flexible towards the customers...and had adjusted the breakfast of one day.if u r not deducting the amount of breakfast even when we r not having it u can at least adjust it when they need it.and anyone can adjust the food of two people in a buffet system.I did not liked that manager at all.. 4. I didn't find any cupboard with a proper lock where i would have kept my stuff locked and had asked housekeeping staff to clean when i was out there for a day. Apart from this i liked the place.some of the staff was really generous.

The ambiance, interiors and location did not disappoint. Friendly staff. Overall comfortable stay. We stayed 4 nights and 5 days. Positives: friendly and flexible staff, convenient location. Good view from the top. Temperature controlled pool. Did not delight: Thin walls, and the next room's plumbing ran right by the wall our bed's headboard was touching. The set to box and TV cables malfunctioned, and we had to call maintenance repeatedly. Remote needs few beatings each time you change channels. Lunch and dinner options are limited and overpriced. Breakfast: Not worth the price, while it's definitely convenient to eat there before heading out. Everything tastes of the chef's carelessness, except the one day we had foreigners staying. The change was clear like night and day in his effort to please them. I'm still rating them 5 stars becuase it's value for the price range.
