Hotel Kasturi

I had visited Gangtok with my family in mid-May and stayed at this hotel. I booked 2 rooms for 4 people for 3 nights. We had taken a double bedroom including a single bed in both rooms (1st floor). This room can accommodate 3 people. 2 adults + 1 child. The rooms are excellent, very spacious, neat and tidy. The bathrooms are also clean and there is a geyser facility, which is in working condition. Electric kettle too available in the room. It is in a prime location. Opposite Ranka Taxi Stand & General Post Office. Easy to access. MG Marg (Mall) is 5 to 7 minute walk from the hotel and the S.N.T. Bus Stand is nearby. I highly recommend this hotel. Note: This is my second time staying at this hotel. Last time I stayed with my wife in June 2022 for 2 nights. We had taken a single room (2nd floor) including B/F & Dinner It was small but very neat and clean. The Manager Mr. Dinesh (now deceased) and the staff were very cooperative and helpful. We had a great experience and the food was very tasty. Now Mr. Anurag Subba (Mr. Dinesh's son) takes care of the bookings and everything.

View room gives you best mesmerizing view of Kanchanjunga Peak. Very near to famous M.G.Road and Cab Stand. Budget friendly. Food : good taste. You have to tell the prefered menu an hour before atleast also for next day's breakfast, tea / coffee you have to confirm previous evening or night. Staff : Good, humble very respectful towards tourist.

The rooms are not in great condition. But it's worth the price you pay for it. The location is superb though. Also

Nice hotel near by gangtok Mall road. Walk in 5 minutes to gangtok Mall road. Rooms are very good and staff behaviour are very good. You can book with breakfast complementary or breakfast and lunch or dinner complementary. Room price are reasonable. There wasn't any lift so little bit difficult for senior citizens but stairs are good position if they ( senior citizens) try slowly they can be able to walk in stairs. It's resturant is pure veg and food quality is very good. You must enjoy the food. At last but not the least the view of "Kanchanjunga pick" if weather was cleared the view was wonderful.

Staff behaviour is not good. I have travelled with my family members last month . They show me three rooms, out of which I selected two. Other room was not preferable for me. But after payment they compelled me to stay at the room which I have not selected. So I have to change the hotel very next day. But the location of the hotel is very near to SNT bus station. It's a advantage of staying in the hotel.

Hotel Kasturi is a very good budget hotel on prime location in Gangtok. It is located just opposite Ranka Taxi stand and SNT bus stand. MG marg is 5 min walk from the hotel. Rooms are quite good. We booked a non-view family room for 3 days. It met my expectations. Room was clean and had all the required amenities. Room service was very good and quick. They have inhouse pure veg restaurant which offers quality food at a reasonable rate. Hotel manager Dinesh ji is polite and well behaved person. Surely I would like to stay here again at my next visit.

Not all the rooms in the hotel are good, the two upper rooms are good, the rest are of medium quality.

This Hotel is at prime location (Opposite Ranka Stand/General Post Office) which is not far from M.G Market ( Only 10 min to walk). Rooms are very neat and clean. Enough Charging point. Bathrooms are also very neat and clean. Geyser is properly working.There is 24X7 Wifi available. The view from the rooms are wonderful. Kangchenjunga Mountain is clearly visible from rooms(If weather is clear). There is good staffs with there good hospitality. last but not the least- rooms are budget friendly. 100% recommendation for this hotel. (10/10)
