Muscatel Grand Silkroute - 300 Mts from MG Marg

My experience at Muscatel Grand in Gangtok was extremely disappointing. The hotel had numerous issues that made our stay unpleasant: 1. Privacy Concerns: In the main building, there were alarming privacy issues, particularly in the bathrooms, where we noticed people sneaking around. 2. Hygiene Issues: We requested an early breakfast, only to find it had been eaten by rats. 3. Uncomfortable Amenities: The mattress provided was damaged and caused severe back pain. 4. Lack of Basic Facilities: There were no telephones in the rooms, making it difficult to contact reception. Weak mobile network meant we had to physically go to the reception, which was very inconvenient, especially from the third floor. 5. Unprofessional Staff: When we reported issues, the staff responded with laughter and smiles instead of addressing the problems seriously. 6. Breakfast Rationing: For early departures like trips to Nathula Pass, they prepare breakfast the night before and leave it at reception. However, they practice rationing, offering insufficient portions. Overall, this was a terrible experience, and I would not recommend this hotel to others.

Just 10 mins walk to MG road , but the only p roblem is the approach steep uphill and downhill. The rooms are just like the other muscatel hotels here , but the service here was not that great. Overall an okay experience. They have centralized kitchen , hence food takes a lot of time . It is a budget friendly hotel and overall a good option

Loved this place. Need to walk a few minutes from mg Marg(the mall area). multiple steps/downward slope is present road so for elderly people taxi is recommended . Apart from that the hotel is very good.

Good place for a stopover. Service is excellent as is the legacy of Muscatel. All basic amenities are available in the rooms. Parking available strictly for 2 small cars or a few bikes at most.

One of the best hotel I have ever visit in gangtok . The room size , amenities, service and the best thing is their behaviour. Itz just like home with friends. I would recommend everyone to stay there without any doubt. Also mg Marg is just 300mts , it can take hardly 6-7 mins and nearby important places like SNT bus stand , deorali nd vajra is close and easily accessible.

Had a nice time during 3 days stay at this Hotel, the staffs were well behaved and very cooperative. Out of two rooms occupied, room No.105 was little bit smelly with damn, the rest were superb.

It's a very good place to stay. Adithya was really helpful at the front desk, he was a really great host. I made a small mistake with booking but rachna patiently helped me to sort it out.

Really a great place to live because of you will get so many option from this location like if you just out from hotel you can get grocery shop , if you are a alcoholic you get Beer ,wine anything you have after that location backside of this hotel was tremendously good basically the hills and if you are a shopping lover then lal bazar , MG road , and west mall also Available. ...love sikkim always .
