Muscatel Grand Silkroute - 300 Mts from MG Marg

I had a comfortable stay at Muscatel Grand Silk Route. The hotel is just a short walk from MG Marg, which makes it very convenient for sightseeing, shopping, and food options. Rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained, and the view from the property was really nice. Staff were polite and helpful throughout the stay. Room service was prompt, and basic amenities were taken care of. A couple of things to note: the approach road is a bit narrow, and breakfast could be improved in terms of variety. But overall, it’s a good value-for-money stay in Gangtok, especially if you prefer being close to MG Marg. Would definitely recommend for families and couples visiting the city.

Nice Hotel & Comfortable Rooms I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The rooms are nice and well-maintained. The reception staff was very polite, helpful, and cooperative — special thanks to the receptionist for the warm welcome and support. The food was delicious and also reasonably priced compared to other places. Overall, a great experience!

Fantastic experience!! Clean rooms with all expected amenities, good behaviour and always helpful mindset of staff makes it even more wonderful. I was lucky enough to get a view of majestic himalaya from my window. So location wise its perfect and you can also visit MG market hardly 300 mts from hotel for hangouts with friends which is a must visit place for any tourist.

Disappointed with the low availability of water in the toilet. I stayed at this hotel for 3 days and unfortunately faced consistent issues with low or no water supply in the toilet throughout my stay. This was extremely inconvenient and unhygienic, especially considering the basic expectations from a hotel stay. Despite informing the staff multiple times, the issue was not resolved properly. Temporary fixes didn’t last long, and the problem returned repeatedly.

I had a great stay overall! The weekend room rate was fair. However, the room's maintenance could be improved to match their standards. Keep in mind that the location requires climbing steep stairs to reach MG Road market, which might be challenging for those with mobility issues. Rooms offer good value for the price, but consider the location's accessibility when booking.

Location is good. M.G. Marg is close. Just don't order food. It's too expensive. If you're staying at this hotel and you get complimentary breakfast, that's good, but buy your lunch and dinner elsewhere. We didn't get rooms with good view. Rooms are clean though. They have a beautiful terrace.

I really had a great experience in this hotel the location of the property was very good. Rooms were clean and well maintained and all the staff were very helpful and well behaved and special thanks to miss Deepa from the front office department highly recommended

Absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! The room was cozy and clean, with a comfy bed and great amenities. The staff were super friendly and helpful, always smiling and willing to lend a hand. Thanks Lakpa Doma 👍👍
