Sparrow Cherry Resort

This was a very delightful stay. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. We did not have any problems with the staff. The food options were bare minimum but the taste made up for it. The prepared the food fresh so naturally there was a wait time. The resort is quietly tucked away from the main roads but very well preserved. The cute little garden adorned with beautiful flowers, the benches outside to sit and take in the fresh air and the views from the balcony that overlooks the valley… all combined make for a very memorable stay. Highly recommended.

The only good thing was spacious room with balcony and beautiful view. The room was dirty, with insects from outside... no housekeeping staff was available. The towels were not replaced on room cleaning. Mattress quality was really bad. No buffet in breakfast. You are forced to eat whatever 2 items they have in breakfast. The kettle and cups kept in room were full off dust as if never washed.|Bathroom was stinking. Will not recommended at all.

Our stay at Sparrow Cherry Resort, Gangtok was a mixed experience. What we liked: The location is excellent, and the staff members were polite, friendly, and always willing to help. What we didn't like: Only a few rooms have good mountain views. We stayed in Rooms 108 and 302, and both offered only average views. If a good view is important to you, it's worth checking with the hotel before booking. Needs improvement: The breakfast was quite disappointing, with limited variety and poor quality. The food served during our stay was average and could definitely be improved. One thing that was particularly disappointing was the additional 10% charge on the food bill due to an LPG shortage. While operational challenges can happen, passing this cost directly to guests without prior information did not feel appropriate. Overall, the resort has a great location and courteous staff, but improvements in food quality, breakfast, room allocation, and pricing transparency would make the experience much better.

Decent property to spend the night. Close to the mall and lots of restaurants and MG road at walking distance. Property looks old but it is well maintained, we booked a room with balcony view which was spacious. Don't have high expectations for the rooms. None of the rooms have AC or Fan. Though it was cold in gangtok, after rain climate became hot.Geyser didn't work in our room. Bell boy tried his best but it didn't work. We left from the hotel at 6 am, they were kind to give us packed brekfast which was good.

As a travel agent, I am extremely disappointed with the experience provided by this hotel. Despite being marketed and listed as a 4-star property, the services and facilities did not meet even basic expectations. During my guest’s stay, they faced multiple issues, including: * No laundry facility available. * Basic toiletries were not provided properly. * Water leakage from the ceiling in the room. * Poor guest support and service standards. As a goodwill gesture, I requested a simple complimentary candlelight dinner for my guests, but the hotel management declined without offering any alternative solution. My guests experienced considerable inconvenience throughout their stay, which reflects poorly on the overall hospitality standards of the property. I strongly recommend that travelers carefully review recent guest experiences before making a booking decision.
