I recently stayed at Sparrow Cherry Rest and had an exceptional experience. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was cozy, and the amenities were top-notch. The staff were friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was pleasant. Check-in and check-out were seamless, and our requests were promptly attended to. Overall, I highly recommend resort for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The combination of excellent service, modern amenities, and prime location makes it an ideal choice. One highlight of our stay was the excellent service we received at the hotel's restaurant, where Mr. Chewing Sherpa went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful dining experience. Their professionalism and warm hospitality made a big difference. The food was very delicious.

A short walk from MG Road, on a quiet street, taxi stand nearby: very convenient for visiting Gangtok and surroundings. Great food, large rooms, but a lick of paint is needed. Very friendly staff.

We had a wonderful stay at the Cherry Sperrow Resort Hotel! The breakfast was delicious, and the service was top-notch. The staff were courteous and helpful throughout our 3-day stay. We explored both the new and old sections of the hotel and appreciated the variety. However, I'd recommend booking during online offer periods to get the best value for money. Otherwise, the rates might be a bit steep (looking at view from hotel) compared to other options. Overall, a great experience, and I'd definitely consider returning during a promotional period!

Our stay at Sparrow Cherry Resort was nothing short of amazing! Tucked away in a peaceful corner of Gangtok, the resort is a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. The property is stunning – clean, well-maintained, and surrounded by nature, offering stunning mountain views right from the room. The staff were incredibly polite and attentive, always ready to help with a smile. The food served was fresh, tasty, and had a lovely homemade touch to it. We especially loved the cozy ambiance of the resort – ideal for couples, families, or even solo travelers looking for a relaxing getaway. Whether you're sipping tea with a view or taking a walk in the serene surroundings, this place brings peace to your soul. I would 100% stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Gangtok!

A very nice place to stay with family. The ambience & polite staff as well as with their good behaviour enhanced the beauty of resort. Car parking is one added advantage. It was a pleasant 5 days stay during my Sikkim visit.

Well for starters, this is not a 4-star hotel as mentioned in the maps. This is a very quaint & modest hotel nearby the MG market & the new Westpoint mall. This property is part of a cottage, rented by the hotel management from the cottage owners. They have an older building & a newer building which is where we stayed initially. We stayed for a total of 6 nights with 3 nights each in-between a break for North Sikkim. For the 1st 3 nights, we stayed at the newer room. First of all, as a family of 3, the bed was not wide enough and we had to get an extra mattress. No wardrobe as such and we have to keep all our clothes in the suitcase & strew them around on the chairs. When we came back the next time, our room was riddled with insects & mosquitoes due to the rain. Then they shifted us to a different room at the older block which was good. The hotel has limited staffs who manage everything. The food options are also limited but good quality. But staying here for 6 nights, you start to feel the sameness everyday and you want some variety. So we had to skip our dinner (included in our tarriff) for couple of nights and head out to try different things. The location of this hotel is very good. Walkable distance to the Prime MG market, the views of Gangtok & the mountains are memorable. Overall, I had a very mixed experience here at the hotel. I felt like I did a lot of complaints and they hotel staffs did their best to address them.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at Sparrow Cherry was unacceptable. From the moment I checked in, things went downhill. The staff was indifferent and barely helpful, and I had to wait over an hour to get my room key. The room itself was a disaster: stained sheets, a musty smell, and a bathroom that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in days. The towels were damp and smelled weird. They didn't had any provision for a fan despite the temperature being close to 30 degrees, and the Wi-Fi was practically non-existent. Breakfast was included, but had very few options. Had to wait for long for a piece of omelette. I voiced my concerns at the front desk, but no action was taken. Definitely not recommended—do yourself a favor and stay literally anywhere else.
