Hotel Shumbuk Homes Serviced Apartment, Gangtok

We stayed here for 3 nights and it's the most comfiest place possible. The place has a well serviced kitchen and groceries stores right down the alley. MG marg is just a few mins and one can get a shared cab veey easily. A few other eateries are very close to the place as well. They have a cute golden retriever around (Leo) who's the cherry on the cake.

We travelled to Gangtok in May 2017 and it turned out to be an awesome experience. Based on inputs from trip advisor, we stayed at Shumbuk Homes service apartments and our stay was memorable. The rooms were well designed , spacious, clean and well maintained washrooms. Their hospitality was on par with any 5 star hotel. People make all the difference so specially recognizing their staff . From the time we booked rooms with them Mr.Subash, the manager of the facility answered all our queries patiently and during our visit all of their staffs including Mr.Dorjee and Mr.Phurba were so friendly and helpful in making our stay comfortable in all aspects. They also serve good food on order which was very tasty/fresh and was always ontime. I would strongly recommend anyone to stay with Shumbuk at Gangtok and enjoy their hospitality.

I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in May 2019. I directly booked the room by calling the hotel's number. They provided me one studio apartment which had all the amenities that I can think of. The room was very clean and hygienic; the staffs make sure that every day my room remains clean. The best part of the hotel is the staffs and their service. I booked the room mainly seeing the kitchen facility so that we can cook if required for my little daughter. But we never felt the need of cooking ourselves as hotel staff provided us whatever food we wanted and the way we wanted it to be cooked. Whenever I needed something, the staffs were there to help. They also helped me in booking cabs for sightseeing and also helped me in getting the necessary permit. Some people wrote about the location of the hotel is not good, but I found it okay. The rooms may not have views of the hills and mountains and I did not expect that also. It is located in such an area where all amenities were there and not far from M.G. road, one can easily get a taxi/shared taxi to M.G. road. But the place was free from hustling and bustling of the main Gangtok area. I liked it. Overall wonderful experience and the staff made it an awesome experience and I am definitely going to stay here again if I travel to Gangtok. Highly recommended.

We had the most wonderful time of our life at this property. The location is superb, not in the centre in the hustle bustle and not too far away from it. The staff was most hospitable and caring. The whole environment in the hotel was full of great professionalism and efficiency. What impressed us the most was the attitude of the staff. Clean Property In A Nice Location.

We had booked a 3 BHK apartment. The rooms were clean and the staffs were courteous. They had a very comfortable sofa set in the living room. The food served was decent. They served us a french toast which was amazing. Loved the stay all together. Wish that they had put ceiling fans considering the hot days of gangtok. Apart from that the stay was good. Recommended for families.

Serviced apartment. We had access to the cooking gas and oven with full range of utensils. Choose this if you want to cook during stay. 10min drive from MG marg. With available taxis, that is not a problem at all.

This place surpassed our expectations for the price. Extremely clean rooms and cooperative owners. We would highly recommend this place for family/group travellers or even solo travellers. Close to MG Marg though you need to take a cab but it’s available easily, staff helps you very promptly and the price is completely justified.

Rooms were very well maintained, Staff was very polite and helpfull. They have never said no to anything. I like the behaviour of every single person working here,||||For me Service and staff behaviour is priority, I can live with little discomfort if they handle the situation carefully and accept the problem if any. But the best part about this property is that it has no such issues. So this is highly recommeneded place to live in Gangtok. No second thoughts about it. Rooms are beautifully maintained.
