Amritara Luxury Villa Tosca , Sikkim

Stay at Amritara Tosca Luxury Villa was the biggest highlight during our trip to Gangtok..conveniently located around 2km from MGM road, this cosy resort gives you all the modern facilities, is extremely well maintained and thoughtfully decorated..they have a terrace accessible to guests with mesmerising views. Chef Sonu served mouthwatering dishes for us, always freshly prepared. The best part of the resort though was the staff’s hospitality, Mr. Meghnath attended to every need of ours and Ms. Roshni made us feel at home with her kind attention. The resort was very kid friendly providing all the required food options and facilities needed for our 2year old. This resort is highly recommended to anyone who visits Gangtok for a homely and memorable stay, clubbed with top-notch facilities and convenience!

Property is beautiful, great location.We are stayed at the family suite for 3 Nights. The room is clean and comfortable. The staff and services was excellent. Mr. Meghnath, Roshni ji and the cook Provided an excellent service. Mr. Meghnath is a very good person. Breakfast and dinner was freshly made and tasty. My experience is very good.👍👌👌

Great place to stay ! The staff are very helpful , Mr Meghnath , Ms. Roshni go out of the way to make the guest comfortable ! The food by chef Sonu is exceptional , fresh and like home cooked food with less oil and easy on the stomach ! The rooms are well maintained as well ! Would definitely recommend this place

We had a wonderful stay in Amritara Villa. We had the homeymoon terrace suite. The terrace has the most breathtaking view. The property and rooms are beautiful cozy and exceptionally well maintained. Super clean and comfortable. Its centrally located and has easy access to all main points. The caretaker Meghnath and his team took care of us very well. Very polite and skilled team. Very happy with the experience would highly recommend this villa for a great cozy stay in Gangtok.

Property is beautiful, location great.|Pros - |View of Kanchenjunga from terrace or room depending on what room is booked.|Home away from home - home made food customised to your needs.|Property is maintained spick and span.|The team at villa goes out of their way to accommodate your needs and requests.|Cab stand is 100 m walk from the property and MG market and Lal bazar are 2 kms approx, 4-5 mins by cab.|Cons - |Electricity is an issue. Property does not have a generator back up. Inverter provides power only in certain points and geyser is not one of them. So when electricity is out for 12 hours, like we faced for one whole night, it gets tricky. Hot water is provided on request but it's only one bucket at a time.|There are no sound proof windows or blackout curtains and all the vehicle sounds of the road (property on main road), are clearly audible from rooms throughout the night. Sunrise at 4 in morning, so light starts streaming in from 4 in the morning. Not a very happy situation if you had a long day and want to have a restful sleep.|The serveware like plates, cutlery are fixed for 1 room and after you have had food, they are washed in the same kitchenette provided to your room. This is because the service team is not allowed to take the utensils and wash them in a separate dedicated area. So every day we finished our dinner, we had to wait for the housekeeping to wash plates and cutlery in our room kitchenette.|The kitchenette has a microwave, fridge and toaster. There is no induction cooktop in case you want to cook something.|The staff doesn't stay at the property at night, like we got stuck with one of our kids falling sick, kettle not working since no power through the night and we rang for hot water early morning only to realise they don't stay here. They never mentioned this to us.|There is no intercom, you have to place a mobile call to the housekeeping for everything, and if you don't get the signal, you are on your own.|Now probably these may seem normal. But when the property is listed in Conde Nast as one of the best villas around the world, and the hotel is using this as a leverage to charge huge amounts, then the lack of these basic services make the hefty charges questionable.

Our stay at this hotel was truly memorable, thanks to Meghnath and his incredible team. ||From the moment we arrived, they made us feel welcomed and went above and beyond to accommodate every need we had. Whether it was special requests, last-minute changes, or just making sure we were comfortable at all times — nothing was ever too much for them.||Must visit place. Not just for the vibes but also for such hospitality.

Awesome Place to stay in Main Gangtok.|It has got very homely vibes. We took the Terrace Suite, we are a couple with a 3 yr old daughter.|The caretakers really take care of you.|They even provided us toys for our daughter.|Food is good and homely. |Also it is just 10mins from Mg Marg by Cab.

The hotel is very well located quite close from MG Road. Nice family avcomodation. The host Mr. Meghnath Ghosh played a pivotal role in enhancing our experience at the property. He is a very warm and hospitable person. Food was fresh and cook added his personal touch. We had a lovely experience during our stay in Gangtok.
