ShriGo Hotel Gangtok

Very poor unmaintained hotel. Bedcover torn , room lock not proper, bathroom doors didn’t close , wadrobe handles broken, water logging in basin.|The behaviour of staff was good but lack of proper management so they seemed lost at times.Security gaurd does most of the stuff plumbing, carpentry etc. House keeping staff seems to minimum.The security gaurd told he will also leave soon. Due to lack of staff , the hotel is un maintained.|We had 3 rooms, the once with the higher price facing mountain. Looks like there is some construction blocking the view.|We changed room once but there were some issues with the new room as well. We spoke to the senior manager probably General Manager ad asked him to focus on maintenance and quality. He seemed listening.|Also the break fast buffer starts at 7:30 and we had to leave at 7. So we informed in advance and we were told by manager and chef they will be able to give sandwiches or bread toast only to which we agreed. When we were leaving they only haves gave bananas and boiled eggs which was of no use to us. The front office manager knew it was wrong but he didn’t have any answers. There are many other better options at this price , better to avoid so that you don’t face disappointment.|Was a bit surprised with the high rating in Trip advisor due which booked this hotel. The only explanation could be it was better before and had become poor with time due to lack of staff.

Overall awesome experience, staff was extremely kind and helpful. Food was also great. Breathtaking view from balcony and reception area. Extremely cozy and comfortable bed with hot water availability 24/7. Situated in Tathangchen which is nearby MG Marg

I spent two days at this hotel, and it was truly an exceptional experience. The hotel staff demonstrated politeness and great support, ensuring a pleasant stay. The rooms were impeccably maintained and spotlessly clean. The food quality exceeded expectations, and the staff went out of their way to cater to customer needs proactively. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel for families. My only challenge being the initial difficulty in locating the hotel entrance through Google Maps, possibly due to its hillside location with a steep slope, I attribute this to it being my first visit to such a hilly area.

I had a great time. The view was awesome. You can have mountain views from hotel itself. The food served was also good. The staffs were also helpful. The rooms and and other areas were clean.overall I had great time with my partner.

A very good hotel. Good location, very nice view, there is ample parking space, nearby shops. The staff is very helpful and decent. Overall a very good experience.

On reaching the hotel we were welcomed with a juice. The good part was they welcomed with a smiling face. The employees in hotel are very polite. We met Krishna(room service guy), he is very sweet and helped us understand more about places to visit in Gangtok. He was very helpful and polite in nature. The rooms are as shown in the pictures. Can't comment on food as we didn't opt restuarant food. The hotel and rooms are very clean and organised. The common area is decorated with flowering plants. View from some rooms are good but it's not like you will see mountains all around. There are buildings right infront of windows. Still the view from hotel room is decent if u take premium rooms. The quality of the room was good except for the washroom door lock which was defective. Despite reporting the issue repetitively the issue was not fixed. The view from the common area near reception is amazing as shown in the pictures on website. "If you are vegetarian person, and planning to go to MG road, my suggestion would be try food court in MG road. It's a pure veg restaurant and the taste is amazing. North Indians specially would love it."

Wonderful stay at shrigohotel Gangtok .. ambiance is awesome with best hospitality...Staff were discipline and Frank .. rooms are neat and clean,excellent food, rooftop view is awesome... Especially The GM of hotel Mr debajit Modak and Om Mr Sanjit Roy their behaviour is excellent and corporative..Staff Miss Purnima is Frank and helpful. All over everything is excellent and beautiful....
