Hotel Tashi Tagey

The man who owns this place is a terrible human. The wife was told that a female friend would join later at night as she was travelling. She agreed to it happily. Next morning her husband made our friend leave because she was a female. The man is very adamant and reaks toxic masculinity. He completely dishonoured what the wife agreed to and took charge saying shes not the owner shes “just his wife” and her words dont have meaning. We were humiliated and our friend was forced to leave. He also forced us to pay the total money for the entire stay if we all checked out that moment. ||||Then he charged extra money when we checked out after 3 days because our friend had stayed one night. Completely frustrating experience. His wife is very sweet though. She was kept completely oblivious of the entire thing. Just miserable. Never going back there!

We stayed at this property for couple of days. But if feels like home only..Nima Aunty cooks every meal on her own so you will not miss ghar ka khana. her knitting skills are excellent and displayed all over. She loves to show this to you and you can see joy on her face. You will see how this Hotel (Home) has their (Nima Aunty and Uncle) personal touch in every piece of corner. The Hotel has great view from the terrace and must visit Terrace Garden build by Uncle. ||Thanks Dorji Uncle and Nima Aunty for wonderful stay. We would love to visit again.||Love from Manoj and Nilam.

My friend, his wife, my wife and myself, four sr. citizens stayed in Hotel Tashi Tagey for four days from 10th to 14th November for our Sikkim tour. We came back with lot of good memories laced with excellent hospitality by the hosts, Mr Dorji and Ms Nyima. |The hotel is very conveniently located on the main road about 3km from M G Road. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. The whole ambience of reception area, dining space, staircase, the rooms,... gives sense of peace and tranquility. The garden on the roof top, primarily of cactus is worth visiting.One can have panoramic view of Gangtok from the roof specially in the night. The foods prepared by Ms Nyima herself were very tasty and reasonably priced. The soothing music was in reception area was relaxing. Mr Dorji helped us in arranging a very good driver for our tour. He looked after all our needs to make our stay very comfortable.|To sum up we can say Tashi Tagey was a home away from home. We express our sincere thanks and appreciation to both Mr Dorji and Ms Nyima and wish them good health and peace for many more years.||||

I had very bad experience about them.they alleged me and asked me to check out immediately.Also misbehaved with me without proper understanding.I never go to such type of crazy people arround.also they charged me extra room charges which is unused.plz guys Don't go to this place.I suffered a lot.they are very third class,just showing big things but truly they are very mean minded

We stayed here for around 6 days. I along with my parents enjoyed our stay here a lot. It felt like a second home. Uncle and Aunty themselves take care of the hotel and keep it neat and clean. The interior is extremely well designed and custom decorated. The rooms are very good and the food prepared by aunty is excellent. It's home made food, very healthy and very tasty. There is a beautiful garden on the terrace and it's well maintained. The location of the hotel is very nice as well. All kinds of banks are there, food shops, stationery, daily need shops and even branded markets can be found. We will never forget our stay here and will always be grateful for the hospitality extended towards us.

It has been a pleasant stay where a great hospitality was offered. We really enjoyed the food and interaction with the people. If you have love for art, I could assure you that you will get a great experience from this hotel which has good artistic interiors !!!

If you are looking for a home away from home in Sikkim, then this is the place you should stay. Rooms are clean, spacious and very well maintained. The owner and her wife cook extremely delicious food and are very sweet. The main attraction is the roof garden that has lot of plants and flowers. If you planning to do wfh from Sikkim, stay in this hotel and enjoy working from terrace with the awesome view of mountains and plants.

I travelled to Gangtok for work in January 2023 and was welcomed by kind and lovely hosts. The room is clean and cozy, the food is scrumptious, the location is very convenient. Tashi Tagey is a "Home Away From Home".
