Rooms: Rooms are large with big balcony. However, they are out of maintenance and so you'll see some of things not working/not provided. Service: You would expect a better service at this category of hotels. Location: Good. Walkable from market. you will get great views if the room has north facing balcony.

Our experience at this hotel was fantastic. The food was a standout – being a pure veg hotel with Jain meal options made dining stress-free and enjoyable. The staff was courteous and always ready to help. Rooms were modern, clean, and offered beautiful views of the surroundings. Would definitely visit again!

Dear Travelers if you visited Pelling than must recommend hotel for vegetarian. And this is the best place for peace in mind. Best balcony view I have ever had. Good Staff, Nice Cleaning in lobbies, walls, stairs etc, Good Room Service, Restaurant also good. I would never have known what it feels like to look at the mountains while eating if it weren't for this hotel. I would like to come here again. And this time I will come early. Because after coming here I came to know that the best view is seen in May If you come to Pelling then this hotel is the best. thank you 😊

We had booked 2 rooms here for a short stay from the evening of 12th April to early morning on 13th April. Unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing. The rooms we were given were not clean and clearly not maintained well. Despite requesting the staff to replace dirty bedsheets, they were replaced with equally dirty ones. We were not given the rooms with the Kanchenjunga view either, which was part of our expectation. While the view from the terrace is undoubtedly beautiful, even the terrace area was unclean. The overall upkeep of the property leaves a lot to be desired. To add to the discomfort, there was no power supply the entire night. We couldn't charge our phones, making it difficult to contact our driver or make arrangements to leave early. The lack of power also meant no hot water in the morning, and the staff's only explanation was a shortage of fuel for the generator. Overall, the experience was far from satisfactory and we had to check out early due to the poor conditions. I hope the management takes serious note and improves both cleanliness and basic facilities.

The hotel rooms are spacious and view are spectacular of Kanchanjunga! The geysers and room paint are from old era.||We had a bad experience on the food and room service, as it seems their restaurant and hotel staff are two different entities - Jain Group and Curry Leaf. ||The hotel manager Priya wasn't bothered about the food issue we had, and the restaurant manager and chef did not put any effort to feed us basic food as they were busy with buffet service. Room service is very delayed here for any ask, it took them 2 hours to send us two dishes and that too at very low quality. My kids slept hungry, thanks to their - "I have no interest" attitude!

We travelled a week back and weather was cold. We stayed 2 nights. Blower Heater was provided at a rental cost and was decently effective, not as much reliant. We got limited options for Jain food. Buffet breakfast was nice (only provided when they have a good number of guests). We faced one night of electricity outage and no option but stay in blankets , as the heater did not work. It is understandable at this price. Staff was very nice.

Just wow hotels room ❤️ welcoming by fresh and hot milk ☕ tea....stuff behaviour is so gentle ❤️Good hotel. Staff behaviour is very humble. Rooms are good, hot water available all the time. It is a Jain hotel, hence one can taste delicious veg dishes only. View of the kanchanjangha is beautiful from this hotel it was amazing.... please see my video review bcz it's taken from the hotel's room.

Hotel Sonamchen is definitely one of the best stays that I have stayed in so far.. The rooms, the location, the service, everything was on point.. We got to have a clear view of the Kanchenjunga from the balcony of our room (the best experience). The manager, Mr Adip, is extremely cooperative.. all the staff are very well mannered and helpful.. the food needs special mention, Vivek was soo helpful, always ready with a smile on his face.. 10/10 would definitely recommend..
