Yashshree Pelling The Chekhim Retreat

Stayed at the Yashshree Pelling Chekhim Retreat, this retreat is a part of the Yashshree Group of hotels. This retreat is located in the mid of natural and peaceful surroundings. Hence it is perfect for those who seek luxury in the lap of nature. Found the room to be spacious, well maintained and had all the modern amenities. As regarding food, the breakfast buffet contained both Indian and Continental items. Enjoyed the food. Offered good hospitality. Overall a good place to stay while in Pelling.

Great location, beautiful surrounding atmosphere, great staff. Most friendly and helpful receptionist and staff ever, lovely and great first impression of hotel. Everything about the hotel was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in where we had dinner. The breakfast buffet had a great variety of fresh fruit." Memorable Stay – Thanks to Nima & Team I had a wonderful stay at Sumi Yashashree, Pelling. The property is well-maintained, offers beautiful views, and has a very comfortable, welcoming atmosphere. A special mention to Nima from the staff, whose warmth, attentiveness, and helpful nature made the experience even better. He ensured everything was well taken care of and added a personal touch to the hospitality. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Pelling—great service, great people, and a truly memorable experience.

Staying at Sumi Yashshree was a whole different experience between the lush green landspace with a great view to Kunchanjunga Mountain Peak, valley view on front side and Pelling City top view on other side from the Room balcony. I visited the place in June,2025 with my family on holidays. It's a newly launched property, the hospitality we received was another level of experience. We were offered the room upgrade to premium suites by the hotel staff without even asking. The rooms and other areas were so clean and well-maintained. We were greeted by Mr. Pranjal at reception. Whole staff is so humble and nice. We experienced home a-like environment as food was served with full love by Mr. Prem and it was so delicious and tasty with wide variety to offer. Best of luck to Sumi Yashshree, hoping to visit there one more time.

Nima in Front Office was a great and thoughtful host!!!The property is clean and serves decent food!! Even the HK and FnB guys were great,they would customize accordingly like service breakfast in room in case you are tied up till breakfast timings. The road is quite tedious though.

Stayed here two months ago, the fresh milk tea is incredible, well kept rooms that are spacious. They're still very new so give them some time, my only complaint was lack of food and drink variety but they are very new and located in a remote place so it's understandable. Service was prompt and friendly. We got lucky staying here. They give fresh cow milk tea and it's to this date one of the best teas I've had. The view is incredible too.

I stayed at Yashshree Pelling recently and genuinely had a great experience. The rooms were super clean and cozy, but the highlight for me was definitely the balcony. Waking up to those views of the valley — especially early in the morning with the clouds slowly clearing — was something else. I spent hours just sitting there with a cup of tea and taking it all in. The staff were very polite and helpful, always ready to assist without being overbearing. The location is calm and perfect if you’re looking for a quiet break. It’s close enough to the main spots but still feels tucked away from the noise. Food was decent and homely, and the service was smooth. Overall, it felt like a great blend of comfort and nature. Would 100% recommend it to anyone visiting Pelling and will definitely come back if I get the chance!

Had a pleasant stay at Yashshree Pelling. The staff was courteous and attentive, rooms were clean and well-maintained, and the view from the property was stunning. Great location and hospitality—highly recommended for a peaceful getaway.
