Hotel Pemathang

First of all I just liked Yuksom town so much 😁 And this guesthouse is quite nice not only because it’s located there. Although rooms are a little bit old they are very spacious and have everything you need for comfortable stay like many warm blankets, table, mirror etc. Hot water for shower was always available. The man who takes care about this place is very friendly, he served us tea and also cooked delicious food for us and the portions were quite big. If the weather is good one can catch a glimpse of the snowy mountains from window

I visited Yuksom during 03.05.2023 to 06.05.2023 and stayed in this hotel. Location is great. Room is very good. Writh, I mean one of the owner, is excellent sorry more than excellent. Food is very good. In morning you can enjoy the view of Kanchanjengha Peak clearly from the roof.

Nice quiet room with hot water and view. No wifi. The manager is very helpful and will do everything possible for you.||The only issue is the location which is a real pain to reach unless you have your own transport. Also, there is some confusion since popular booking sites seem to list it either under Pemayangtse or Pelling. It is actually located some 20 miles further up in the village of Yuksom.

Actually we stayed in this hotel 22 years ago when we trekked to Geochala pass. This November, we visited Yuksom for old times sake. As luck would have it, we could contact our old guide Pradeep and cook Kinley. On our way to Yuksom we were wondering as to where to have our lunch because the home stay where we had booked our room do not provide lunch. We were carrying some of the old photos of our trek loaded in our mobile for reference. On the spur of the moment, we referred to the old photos of the hotel where we had stayed 22 years ago. When I zoomed on the photo I could make out the name of the hotel. From the Google I got the number of the hotel. Luckily for us the old owner took the call. We explained our old connection with the hotel and enquired if he could prepare simple vegetarian jain food for us (vegetarian food is difficult to get in Sikkim). He readily agreed. When we arrived at the hotel a couple of hours later, he was waiting for us and joyfully received us. Astonishingly, he could recollect our stay there. The food was simple but very hot and tasty. We spent quality time talking about the old times. We had lunch there for the next 2 days. When we left Yuksom early morning he made it a point to see us off. The hotel is situated at the entry to the village away from the market. It is simply furnished but maintained well neat and clean. Most importantly, the owner is very friendly,helpfull and caring. We regretted that we did not have the foresight to book our stay there.Thank you Kinjan. We wish Mr Kinjan Butiya all the best in life

We spent couple of nights at this hotel before and after the trek. Though the hotel owner had difficulty with English or Hindi, she manged to do every thing to keep us comfortable. The manager was very helpful and he can communicate very well. Hotel is really clean and bed is comfortable. Restaurant is walkable. I would recommend the Yak restaurant.

This place truly caters to a traveller's soul. The location is prime and the homely feel made me feel elated. During our stay, our host, Writh did his best to make our experience worthwhile. The day we reached Yuksom, there was an ongoing powercut which rolled on to the next day. Writh took this incident as an opportunity to arrange for a candle light dinner which was beyond my imagination. It was surreal and was exactly how I would have liked it to be. Without artificial embellishments, it was an experience of a lifetime and the visit to their terrace was like a cherry on the top. Would surely revisit.

Fantastic Hotel for family or friends, rooms service location all are very good. also food quality and testy very nice. From September to November awsome weather. Location-West sikkim, yaksum market.

Very good. Food quality was awesome. Homely atmosphere. Rooms were clean. View of mount Pandim during sunset was memorable.
