Taj Hotel and Convention Center, Agra

We had a wonderful experience at the Taj Agra hotel & convention center. My daughter was very sad to leave!||Pros:|* Location: It is right by the Taj Mahal, close to Agra Fort (the two top tourist attractions in Agra). We left the hotel at 5:30 AM to experience the sunrise and were able to walk right up to the Taj East gate. There are lots of good restaurants nearby, and it's easy to get an Uber when needed.|* Room: This spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed room has a very nice shower. It is spotlessly clean, and plenty of water bottles are provided.|* Breakfast buffet: Overall, it's very high quality. Make sure to ask for the Besan Chilla (I could not find it on any menus). |* Prompt service: All housekeeping requests were attended to promptly||Cons:|* None

I had an absolutely delightful dining experience here! The food was exceptional – every dish was thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. The ambience perfectly complemented the meal: warm, elegant, and inviting, creating just the right atmosphere for a memorable evening.||A special mention must go to Chef Ashish and Pravin, whose talent and dedication truly elevated the experience. Chef Ashish’s creativity and attention to detail shone through in every plate, while Pravin’s gracious hospitality and impeccable service made us feel genuinely cared for. Their teamwork brought a personal touch that made the evening stand out.||Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates fine dining with a soulful touch. Looking forward to returning soon!

PURE EXCELLENCE. We have already stayed in various 5 star hotels in India, this is the only one meriting the 5 stars. Very competent staff, all english speaking, chic and luxurious interior, extraordinary housekeeping, good (also western continental) breakfast, mouth-watering indian cuisine in the Daawat-E-Nawab restaurant. I was afraid of our India trip, regarding hygienic and food standards, Taj Hotel in Agra was our safe space. 100% recommend for all western tourists.

Taj Agra was chosen for a family vacation on 23rd Sep 2025 primarily because of the Taj’s brand assurance and proximity of the hotel from Taj Mahal’s East Gate. Taj Agra checked all the boxes with reassuring standards of luxury, hospitality and customer service, very true to the ethos of the brand. And yes it is eco-certified as well. Sharmishtha at the front desk and Subrata da as customer experience were phenomenal. Sharmishtha upgraded our rooms to deluxe rooms and gave us a fabulous check in experience. While waiting at the impressive lobby of the Taj Agra we were welcomed by orange delight and pink lady welcome drink, which were cool and refreshing. The deluxe room was perfect with an area of close to 400 sq feet. Both the deluxe rooms had an en suite bath with a bath tub which was large enough and fun to use with a shower attached above the tub as well The bed was super comfortable with a decent size lounger in each room apart from a chair and desk. All amenities well provided for. We had opted for Modified American Plan and chose the buffet dinner at the impressive and lavish Palato. The spread was super with delicious entrées, mains and dessert. The live counter served one of the best pasta arrabiata which I have tasted in recent times. The lemon fish and south Asian curries were delicious with chilli garlic noodles. The veg pula was so fragrant and tasty and went well with veg curries. The salad counter was expansive with micro greens as well (difficult to find in a buffet). Saurabh served us very well and took care in detail. Chef Pravin personally assisted us and checked on the quality and taste of food. He insisted for a Kadak masala chai as well. Very impressive service delivery. The complimentary buffet breakfast was as delicious as the buffet dinner we had with Jeetu taking care of all of our need and replenishing plates faster. The another attraction of our stay was the Noor -e-Taj show which was competed and hosted by multi talented Subrata Bhattacharya. His narration and description with witty humour and trivia thrown in took us to the past era and was thoroughly enjoyable. The puppet show at the hotel took back to our childhood memories and a delight to experience. The rooftop infinity swimming pool with view of Taj Mahal was another plus and we enjoyed the same during night and early morning. The Infini bar cum restaurant near the pool was perfect place to chill and relax. One word can summarise it all -‘memorable

The hotel is very good. Rooms are clean and luxurious and staff are friendly. Location is great as it is on the main road of taj mahal. They have as well a playground for kids. We didn’t like the buffet as there was no variety of continental food. Expect more Indian foods.

We chose Taj Agra to celebrate two friends’ birthdays, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience. The property itself is stunning, with a warm welcome and an ambience that instantly makes you feel cared for. The staff was extremely accommodating and attentive, ensuring every little detail was looked after with genuine hospitality. The highlight for us was the rooftop infinity pool and bar, offering breathtaking views and a perfect setting to enjoy the pleasant Agra weather. It added such a magical touch to our celebrations. The food was exceptional as well,beautifully presented and full of flavor, living up to the hallmark of Taj’s culinary standards. The only small suggestion would be to reconsider the fragrance used in the lobby, as it felt slightly synthetic and overwhelming. Other than that, every aspect of our stay was flawless. A truly memorable experience elegant, warm, and quintessentially Taj. Highly recommended for anyone visiting

I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Taj at Agra. It was a uniquely gratifying experience, right from my seamless check-in to the well-appointed suite. The breakfast was magnificent at Palato, as well as the dinner at Infini, the rooftop restaurant with a view of the Taj Mahal. It is always gratifying to see 'Tajness' in its flawless glory over the years. hats off to the team for a beautiful stay.

Wonderful stay with family at Taj Agra ! We even got a free room upgrade. The staff of the hotel was more than kind and helpful. They also gave us a small package for our travelling to Delhi with all the snacks, sweet snacks
