Hotel Saryu (Rahi Yatri Niwas)

Hotel Saryu (actual name is saryu atithi griha) is located near sant tulsidas ghat of river saryu. The location is good and you will get river views from the room itself. The hotel is near the Lata Mangeshkar Chowk and the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra or Hanuman Garhi are within 2 km distance, which can be reached easily in a toto or golf cart.||The rooms (we had booked ac deluxe) are very spacious with a large balcony, almost the size of a suite. However, the rooms do not have facilities like complimentary drinking water, tea/coffee, etc. Washroom does not have hand towel, liquid hand wash container is empty. There is no mirror in the room. The other major issue is with food. Items are limited and cooking is ordinary. They have complimentary breakfast, but items are only 3 + milk tea. Sandwich has only butter spread inside. In the kitchen, jagveer ji is a gentleman and very helpful. For any requirements (food or otherwise, he is the best go-to person.||Overall, this is a decent hotel to stay when you visit Ayodhya.

Considering a state govt. property we didn't expect it to be awesome, but it definitely exceeded our expectations in terms of location, room quality, room service and food. Rooms were clean on arrival. Staff was sufficiently well-mannered and service was quick. Though there was water logging problem in the bathroom which needs to be fixed. Also staff should proactively guide guests regarding tourist places and activities. We couldn't view famous Saryu Arti which happens very near to hotel as nobody in the hotel guided us.

Great Hotel by UPSTDC. Next to Saryu River & walking distance from Naya Ghat. Helpful staff and delicious Food.. Only feedback- We were initially staying on Ground Floor but found few insects inside room may be due to rainy season. We requested to shift from Ground to 1st floor which the manager accepted. But we opted for room upgrade (paid basis) on 1st floor. Overall Good experience at this Property.

A very nice hotel at Ayodhya. But being spoiled by unprofessional staff. Rooms are spacious neat and clean with all amenities. But staff are not courteous and doesn't even smile at the customers at reception. Clearly they do not even heard about hospitality and i doubt they undergone any type of training. Made a good hotel like this an ill managed government institution. Garbage was dumped all around the beautiful building and nobody cared to keep the place clean. Restaurant opens at 9 o clock only and the complimentary breakfast had literally nothing to offer. Nobody picks the phone when called reception or restaurant even though they are sitting nearby. Everytime we had to climb down stairs and and tell things at reception multiple things to get something done like room cleaning. There is no lift. If they improve the services and train the staff properly it is the best place to stay in Ayodhya. The location is superb with good view of Sarayu Ghat. Night walk through the ghat is amazing.

Major issue with this place is that there is no lift to take you to the second floor. Everytime you have to climb the stairs. Food is average. The location of the hotel is good right on the banks of the sarayu river but far from all the places to visit. Catching an autorickshaw also is a pain since you have to walk about 300metres from the hotel to get one.

Stayed with family for 2 days, location is clean and near Helipad - Lata Mangeshkar chowk. Rooms are ok, newly built but needs some maintenance. Standard ac may seem congested. Lunch, dinner and buffet breakfast was good. Easy parking if having own vehicle. Difficult to get public transport like auto, be ready to walk till chowk. We visited during parikrama time and most roads were closed. We had to walk quite a lot, so prepare to walk in worst case. They charged more than MRP for bottled water and didn’t listen at all when protested. Same for small extra items like lemon.

Good location... very close to Sarayu river... spacious rooms...tasty food.. value for the money.. we could not bring our tempo traveler to the hotel... it was allowed only about one kilometre away from hotel.. so we were forced to transfer the luggage and gousts by E-rickshaw from the check post to hotel..

Walkable distance from Lata Mangeshkar Chowk, Sarayu ghat, Laser show, Nageshwar Nath temple, Ram ki Paidi etc. Ayodhya dham is about 2 km from here but you will get conveyance easily from near by. Well furnished large room which was neat and clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Good restaurant. Great view of Saryu from balcony. Only draw back noted was absence of lift..
