Hotel the Mansion

I recently stayed here and I must say, it was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I have ever had. The photos and reviews online paint a completely different picture from the reality of staying here. First and foremost, the basic amenities were in a deplorable state. The taps barely functioned, door locks were either broken or extremely difficult to use, and the level of hygiene was far below acceptable standards. The room had a musty smell, the linens were not fresh, and the bathroom was in desperate need of a thorough cleaning. The service was equally appalling. The staff seemed indifferent to guest needs, and simple requests were either ignored or met with disdain. To make matters worse, the food served in the hotel’s restaurant was rotten. It was only replaced after we insisted, but by then, the experience had already left a sour taste in our mouths. This hotel is definitely not suitable for families, especially those traveling with elderly parents or young children. The lack of proper facilities and the unsafe environment make it a place to avoid. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for accommodation, as staying here was nothing short of a nightmare. **Alert: Beware of Scam by Hotel Staff and Management** I booked two rooms for two nights at this hotel, and it turned out to be the worst stay of my life. From the outset, the rooms were in deplorable condition—no clean sheets or pillow covers, the room phone wasn't working, and the bathrooms were filthy. The hotel itself is poorly maintained. The most alarming part is the apparent coordinated theft by the hotel staff. While we were out visiting temples, someone stole 27,000 Rupees from our bag. The theft was clearly premeditated: a back window, hidden by a curtain, was left open. The thief took enough 500 Rupee notes from two bundles to avoid immediate detection. Upon our return, we found the bag unzipped and immediately reported it to the reception, requesting to see the CCTV footage. The staff's reaction was highly suspicious. Initially, they claimed the CCTV was not working. When I insisted, the hotel manager promised to show the footage the next morning—conveniently when we were scheduled to check out. Despite my persistence to resolve the issue immediately, they stalled by pretending to call technicians to access the footage, which was never shown. When I threatened to call the police, they offered a refund via a check signed by the manager, with the condition that if they couldn't provide the footage by Monday, I could cash the check. Predictably, no footage was provided, and when I deposited the check on Thursday, it bounced, costing me even more money. After discovering the check was worthless, I contacted the hotel manager, Birendra Singh, who continued to stall, promising a direct transfer of funds. Each day brought new excuses, and it became clear that their intention was to wear me down until I gave up. I urge everyone to avoid booking this hotel. There is a coordinated effort of theft going on. If you find yourself in a similar situation, immediately call the police at 112 and let them handle it. This hotel is not worth your money or trust.

Worst hotel I've ever visited in my life. Paying super deluxe rooms but adjusting in it was most disappointing . Even if when we called to the reception for room service,the receptionist itself came to do it so this clearly shows how much there staff workability was bad.

Rooms are nice. But the service is pathetic. Every time they have the same reason like cable work is going on so tv won't work. ACs are also not cooling properly. Washrooms are nice but water is not coming out from showers due to the low pressure of water. Properties maintained well but basic facilities are missing.

everything was too bad i stayed 1 night in this hotel. their charges are very high. staff is not working properly they don’t have chilled water in their service they are charging very high i paid 2500 for one night not worthy at all

The only good thing was the staff and the excellent service provided. All else is downhill from there. The pictures of the hotel are outdated and lacks maintenance. Everything seems to be very old and dirty. Again maintenance and upkeep is severely neglected. The food was satisfactory. Server was friendly and polite. I would not recommend unless you are seeking a very low budget hotel.

Best hotel in the locality. I had booked another hotel on Agoda 3500 a piece for 30 Dec (peak period). But on seeing physically it was just filth. Local staff told me they generally charge 1000 per day and recommended to go Mansion near by. We booked Mansion for 2200. It’s comparatively plush one… big rooms. Good bathrooms.. provide sufficient amenities and services which is rare at such place.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 days with family. Food was descent and good. Rooms are descent but not up to the mark. This is not a 3star hotel as most of the things are not working like Ac, tv was not working. They didn't provide electric kettle. All taps are in very bad condition. Everything is very old. We paid 2500 per day for super dulux room which is not worth.
