Hotel Ganges Grand - Varanasi

I really enjoyed my stay at the Ganges Grand and I stayed there in two rooms for a good 4 nights. I found the staff to be cordial and very helpful. The best feature of the place was the ideal location. However I will not recommend going there by your car (although there is parking, but there is construction going on - as of Mar 2025). The food was good as well and the other facilities were also quite good. Almost every major important location is just 500 to 600 meters away. Nice clean rooms, and good value for money ... I will rate this hotel as a solid 9 out of 10.

I have mixed feelings while submitting a review for a couple of reasons. I was very happy when I received a call if I want to be picked up from Railway Station, something very professional. Hotel staff greeted us with smile. Rooms are small with no windows, which is a bummer. The AC, TV, Water heater etc was functioning. There was a faulty light which they didn't fix despite requesting. Coming to restaurant, veg options are less but the quality of food is good. One thing I did not like was during checkout. We had requested the reception guy that we will check out at 12 pm instead of 11 to which he agreed. Apparently, he did not communicate it to the guy who took over the duty and the new guy ended up misbehaving with my wife. She had to request him not to be rude and we will check out immediately which we did. Everyone was polite and nice except the reception guy on the day of our check out.

Located at Godowlia chauraha, the hotel has nice clean & spacious rooms.Breakfast is also decent with good Tea /coffee served at the table. The only issue is if you are visiting and have booked your own private car, the car can only come upto about 150-200 mtrs from the hotel. Thereafter you will need to take a cycle rickshaw to carry your luggage and your family right upto the hotel unless you are ok with walking with your luggage on the crowded street. We had our Sr parents with us and had to face this issue. The only alternative is to book the car thru the hotel itself which solves the problem. Other than that it was a good stay ..just a short 400m walk to Kashi Vishwanath Temple.

Endless cons 1) Allotted 107 - Ice cubes fell off the AC & room was full of water. I asked for a room change & the helper refused to change the room saying no rooms were available. I went to the reception, the receptionist allotted 104 immediately. 2) Rooms were average, honestly below average for the price of ₹5k per night. 3) To my horror, there were cockroaches. 4) My husband washed used the shampoo & his hairfall became horrible overnight. We had to go to the dermat. 5) I think 104 was close to the kitchen, till 11PM there were utensils noise and people yelling. 6) Geyser was centralized and hence there wasn't any hot water available at 10PM. We had to request them to turn it on. Only pro - location. Walkable distance to the mandir.

My stay at this hotel was average overall. The room was clean and the bed comfortable, and check-in was quick and efficient. The location is a definite plus, being close to the Kashi Viswanath temple and the main shopping area. Restaurant food was okay, nothing special, though the poori and tea at breakfast were good. A minor inconvenience was the single lift, which could lead to delays when the hotel is busy. Finally, be aware that the road to the hotel can be closed by police at times, requiring guests to carry their own luggage.

Pathetic Service, Rude Receptionist and worst Breakfast is the specialty of this Hotel. Once you deposit money they behave like a road side Gundas. People are coming for Pilgrimage and the Management behaviour is like that they are challenging you. Breakfast was with empty food Pan and if you ask them it will take ages to deliver it to you. Overall will not recommend to anyone one. There should be strict action against Receptionist and Management.

Pathetic Hotel, Worst Services,Rude Management. Front Desk receptionist are like Road side Gundas. After getting money they will treat you bad and misbehaved with you.People are coming for pilgrim hence keep quiet as no one want to spoil the day with such a bad people. Pathetic Breakfast as hardly they replenish the empty pots. I will not recommend it to anyone one. There should be strict action against Hotel Management.

Best & cheapest hotel in Near Kashi Vishwanath temple. Kashi Vishwanath temple is a walkable distance. Very good hotel nice furnished need and cleaned room very co operative staff and good behaviour over all good experience of 3 days.☺️😇
