The location of Golden Lodge is undeniably convenient, with the temple just a short walk away. However, be prepared for an extremely narrow approach to the hotel that you wouldn’t even imagine. While the staff and owner are generally friendly and helpful, the manager left much to be desired. He provided us with completely wrong information about the darshan and seemed more interested in taking a huge commission from us than actually helping. If you’re planning to stay here during Shravan month, I strongly advise against it. We were a group of 16, all senior citizens, and the overwhelming rush made it nearly impossible to stay. We were forced to vacate our rooms overnight and move to another hotel due to the chaos. The rooms, though small, were clean and well-maintained, which is one of the few positives. But, don’t let the proximity to the temple fool you—there are better options out there, especially during busy times like Shravan. Feel free to adjust any part of this review to better match your experience or tone!

The worst hotel i have ever seen in my life. I book this hotel 2 months ago from the date of my arrival and they send the message of congratulations your booking has been confirmed. And on the day of arrival they deny to give to room because someone give them more price for the room. I request everyone please do not book this hotel online.

Worst experience ever in a stay. They rooms were very small and dirty, They have showed one photo while booking but after reaching another room given. They said AC is not working so given another room with very very small toilet and bathroom and that to in different place. I keep on travelling but never had such a bad experience. If you’re going with your parents then please don’t book this lodge as it’s doesn’t have lift facility. Parking facility not available. You have to walk almost 400 to 500m from the main road. The only advantage is that the property located very near to the Kashi Vishwanath temple.

Hotel Golden Lodge is beautiful and very close to Darshan Gate No. 2 of Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Also, their rooms are very tidy and the service is timely. The owner as well as the staff are honest and helpful.

Worst room facility. Can say no room facility at all. Dirty rooms, dirty bedding and rude behavior of staff. Non cooperative manager with silly excuses, non availability of drinking water. Toilet and bathroom washbasin all are dirty. Very bad experience of my life in this lodge. Never book it. Very narrow streets, You will regret by booking this lodge. Booked ac room for my family but it is switched off in night although I have confirmed there that light is available and staff plays dirty tricks to save electricity. Incident took place on 20th of may 2024 when temperature is at peak. Only pros is that its location is near to temple

Extremely comfortable rooms for the price. Heaven for those seeking the actual Varanasi experience. Right next to Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple and about a 100 or so meters from the Ganga, while being about 200 meters from the main road, ensuring one doesn’t lose out on the main road’s connectivity by staying in the old city, thereby making it an ideal spot. Hygiene is a priority for the institution, ensured by regular cleaning. Add to that Super friendly staff, and you have a near-perfect hotel. In-house beverage options were an unexpected delight. Tons of coffee options made my stay all the more pleasant. This hotel is an overall package, one I’d go as far as to say is the best.

Fraud hotel i paid for double bedroom 2 month advance at the of time of check in they said no room available we can manage a single bedroom.
