Hotel Ganges Grand - Varanasi

1. Centrally located at the most ideal place at Godowlia Chowk. 2. At walkable distance from Kashi Vishwanath temple. 3. Very near to the auto stand so that walking is minimal for reaching various locations such as Dashwamedh ghat,Assi Ghat and Ravidas ghat for Cruise journey. 4. Very close to the famed eateries of Varanasi.||5. Upkeep of hotel is good.||6. Dining hall is very spacious though costwise on higher side.||7. The travel desk should be more active towards guests.||8.My advice to guests is to request for pick up and drop facility,as otherwise you may face problems due to traffic restrictions.

In one word AWESOME experience during my 3 days stay along with my family. Everything was perfect during my stay. This property is at the best location of Varanasi. Kashi Vishwanath temple and other few spots are in just walkable distance. Pros: 1. Great location 2. Very clean rooms with all modern amenities 3. Very very polite behaviour of hotel staff. 4. Great buffet breakfast 5. Awesome food at their in-house restaurant 6. Very transparent about billing and related charges There is no negative point from my side and I am looking forward to choose only this property wherever I will come at Varanasi.

Hotel Ganges Grand, Varanasi - An Average Stay Clouded by Rude Reception Staff I recently stayed at Hotel Ganges Grand in Varanasi for a couple of nights, and while the hotel itself was generally acceptable, the attitude and behavior of the reception staff really dampened my overall experience. The hotel's location is quite good, situated right along the banks of the holy Ganges River. The rooms were clean and decently appointed, with the basic amenities one would expect. The common areas like the lobby and restaurant were also well-maintained. So from a facilities perspective, Hotel Ganges Grand is a fairly standard, middle-of-the-road option in Varanasi. However, my interactions with the reception staff were quite disappointing. They came across as rude, indifferent and unhelpful. Simple requests were met with a curt, dismissive attitude. On one occasion, I had to insist multiple times just to get a small issue addressed. The lack of basic courtesy and service orientation from the front desk staff was quite striking. It's a shame, because a little more friendliness and willingness to assist guests could have really improved the overall experience at Hotel Ganges Grand. As it stands, I left with a rather negative impression, despite the hotel's otherwise average quality. If the management is able to address the attitude issues of the reception team, this could become a more enjoyable option for travelers to Varanasi. But for now, I would advise fellow guests to brace themselves for less-than-ideal treatment from the staff.

I went the restaurant here and was not at all satisfied with the service... first of all it took them so long to notice that someone has entered the restaurant, didn't even care to pass the menu by themselves,had to ask the waiter for the menu...and it took them so long to prepare and serve just 2 meals! They literally tested my patience... one of the waiter didn't even know how to serve properly spilled the food on the table and still had no guilt on his face! The food was good tho,but what's even the point.Anyone would die out hunger while waiting for the food to come! Not satisfied!

The location of this property is very good. It is located at Gadouria chowk, a central place for going to the river Ganges and Kashi Vishwanath temple. Rooms are clean and maintained. Service is very quick. They have a good dining hall named Dawat. Here you will get good food. Veg food is highly recommended. You can try mixed vegetables, Bhindi masala, stuffed Dum Aloo. Yellow daal fry is another item which we liked most. You will get freshly prepared tandoori rotis. Nice place to spend a few days in Baba Vishwanath's home. You will certainly love it.

Average hotel but is very convenient, everything is around the corner. The location of this hotel is in the centre of the market, Godowlia chowk. Walking distance for dashashwamedh ghat and also close to the vishwanath temple.

Very amazing, but the rooms are very small... The prices are also on the higher side... Though if you are looking at an aesthetic stay.... Go for it... The way leading to the hotel is through the narrow lanes of Bangali tola and you need to walk about 2 km to reach the location.
